The Migrant Industrial Complex Has Swung Into Action in Ceuta

The invasion of Spain has taken another turn, and it’s a turn for the worse.

Pedro Sánchez has been managing the crisis to avoid some of the political fallout from the recent invasion of the Spanish territory of Ceuta, which is on the African mainland adjacent to (and claimed by) Morocco. It’s clear that Sánchez isn’t unhappy that a new crop of invaders has entered Spanish territory, but he is about the fact that his fellow countries in the Schengen Zone are screaming bloody murder about it and even closing their borders to Spanish travelers without visas.

Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez in Ceuta:

The most urgent task right now is to restore normality, guarantee security, and, above all, not put coexistence at risk.

With all due respect to the President of the Autonomous City of Ceuta, we’ve spoken many times about the importance of coexistence in this city.

I believe that its diversity is one of its greatest attractions and also one of its greatest strengths. And that is something that I think all governments must preserve—not only through our policies and our actions, but also through our words.

The Government of Spain will always stand by that principle.

He points to the fact that “most” of the people who rampaged across the border and trashed the city of Ceuta have returned to Morocco, while avoiding the truth that somewhere between 10 and 15 thousand have remained, and even begun taking boats to get into mainland Spain.

Many of the people who left cited their inability to get enough food and water, but courtesy of the Red Cross, that is no longer an issue. No doubt the city fathers in Ceuta would prefer that the trucks that moved in to provide food and supplies to the migrants would have been used to actually move the migrants out, but that’s not how the migrant industrial complex, partly funded by you, me, and of course the Europeans, works.

Their goal is to help these invaders on their way to the promised land. In this case, promised to them by their Imams.

While Sánchez assures people that the Ceuta invaders will not be allowed to travel to Spanish territory, and hence enter the Schengen Zone, he’s taken the opportunity to transport other illegal aliens who had been in Ceuta before the invasion into the European mainland.

Making more room for the ones who just came, of course. Diversity really is Spain’s strength, so they need a lot more of it, you see.

🇪🇸🇲🇦 Dozens of migrants from the Ceuta surge were transferred to mainland Spain today.

The process of moving people from the enclave into the rest of the country continues.

Once on the mainland, they’ll soon spread into all of Europe.

And it’s not the actual migrants the Spanish have to worry about. There are already hordes of Muslims who have made it to Spain illegally, many of them regularized by the Sánchez government, who are whipped up and thrilled by what happened across the Strait.

They don’t identify with the Spanish, but with the people who successfully invaded Ceuta and are making their feelings known.

Ursula von der Leyen has rallied EU members to “back” Spain and help with the crisis, but it’s pretty clear that the unified front in public hides a simmering rage just under the surface. Von der Leyen is working furiously to defuse the situation, and may succeed…this time.

But the writing is on the wall, because this will not be the last time this happens, and European populations are exasperated.

For all the smiley faces being shown, Spanish politicians are slamming Georgia Meloni and Italy for her reaction to the crisis, and as far as I can tell, she has yet to reopen Italy’s borders to non-visa holders from Spain. Meloni’s government fired back:

Spain should not take Italy’s move to tighten up checks on their border personally, the Italian interior minister said on Tuesday.

“This is in no way a measure directed against Spain or any other partner,” Matteo Piantedosi told fellow EU ministers at an online meeting called to address the short-lived Ceuta migration crisis, according to remarks shared with journalists.

Piantedosi sought to take the heat out of the debate that has raged since last week, when Rome spearheaded criticism of Spain for its handling of the influx of some 60,000 Moroccans.

Giorgia Meloni’s government, backed by Denmark and 20 other countries, blamed Madrid for creating a pull factor with its pro-migration policies, and introduced checks on arrivals from Spain at its sea and air borders, set to last one month.

The Italian minister said the measure was legal, argued that other countries have frequently imposed their own temporary internal border checks, and painted Italy as a historical victim of the EU’s lopsided burden-sharing when it comes to migration, especially during the Lampedusa crisis of 2023.

Everybody is pointing fingers at everybody else, all while pretending that the crisis is over and all is fine. The thing is, neither appears to be true, and lots of people aren’t buying it.

BREAKING:

The LIBE Committee of the European Parliament (the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs) today voted in favor of convening an emergency meeting on the situation in Ceuta.

The right-wing party groups agreed with the LIBE Chair Javier Zarzalejos (of the @EPPGroup) that such a meeting is necessary in light of the storming of Europe’s borders by 70 000+ illegal migrants from Morocco.

His position was that the situation in Ceuta is “absolutely unacceptable” and has caused disruption to daily life and fundamental freedoms for the people of Ceuta.

He argues that it can’t simply be attributed to criminal smuggling networks and calls for investigation into how it unfolded.

The only party groups that voted against the emergency meetings on Ceuta were the Socialists (S&D), the Greens and The Left.

It’s hard to tell exactly what IS happening in Ceuta right now. The Spanish government says everything is fine. The EU pretends that it is while offering “help” (likely requirements, actually) to manage the situation, but the Ceuta government sure doesn’t seem happy, and the Red Cross is obviously feeding illegal aliens who haven’t actually left, however many there really are.

Pravda is massaging the story, and the people sharing videos online no doubt have their own axes to grind as well.

All we know for sure is that we aren’t getting the full picture, and this will not be the last time something like this happens.
