Mother Claims Passenger Sexually Assaulted Her as She and 4-Year-Old Daughter Slept

A Thai mother says an airline passenger sexually touched her while she and her young daughter slept aboard a flight bound for Bangkok, turning an ordinary trip home into a disturbing police matter.

Beaut Pimpaporn, 33, said the alleged contact happened recently on a flydubai flight from Dubai.

Pimpaporn was returning from Milan, Italy, and traveling with her four-year-old daughter when she says another passenger squeezed her backside while touching himself.

She alleged that he quickly pulled away, covered his hand with a jacket, and pretended to adjust the entertainment screen.

She said the man repeatedly glanced toward her after the alleged incident, but she chose not to create panic while the aircraft remained in the air.

Once the plane landed at Bangkok International Airport, she alerted cabin crew and filed a police report.

“I did not understand everything the air hostess was saying to the man, because they were speaking in Arabic, but the flight attendant asked him whether he had done what I reported,” Pimpaporn said.

Her account suggests the confrontation changed quickly once airline staff began questioning the passenger.

“At first, he denied it, but eventually he admitted what happened,” she claimed.

“After that, he came to me, cried, knelt down and begged for forgiveness. He kept saying he was sorry and that he would not do it again.”

The flight attendant did not treat an apology as a convenient escape hatch, according to Pimpaporn, and instead made clear that the allegation required police involvement.

That response apparently did not stop members of the man’s tour group from trying to intervene.

“They [his friends] asked me to let him go and forgive him, but the flight attendant told those who were not involved to leave because this was a police matter,” Pimpaporn said.

“Later, I found out he came with a tour group. He was travelling with friends or people from the same tour group, not with family. There were around four or five people who came and tried to intervene, and there may have been more because they travelled as a group.”

The account paints an ugly picture of peer pressure being applied when authorities needed to establish what happened.

Crew members also acted to shield Pimpaporn’s daughter from the confrontation as events unfolded after landing.

“My daughter was taken away by the captain, so she would not see everything that happened.”

Tourist police and immigration officers later removed the accused man from the aircraft and took him to a police station.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Chamnanyut Konkong of the Don Mueang district station said authorities planned to interview Pimpaporn and begin the formal process.

“The suspect has been denied entry into Thailand. We have scheduled the complainant to be interviewed this morning,” Konkong said.

“He has not yet been investigated.

The initial step will be to arrange a mediation between the two parties, as this is the normal procedure.”

That mediation language will likely raise eyebrows among travelers who expect an alleged sexual assault to receive a direct and serious investigation.

Still, police said the suspect had been denied entry while the complaint moved forward.

Pimpaporn said she went public because women traveling without other adults can face particular risks during long trips, especially when many passengers are asleep.

“Passengers are often sleeping during long flights, and women travelling alone can be vulnerable,” she said.

“This happened even though I was travelling with my child. I cannot imagine what could happen to someone travelling alone who is too afraid to speak up.”

Her warning is blunt, silence can leave alleged misconduct unchallenged.

“I want other women to know that they should not feel embarrassed. If something feels wrong, they should report it and ask for help.”

Pimpaporn said speaking out was meant to keep another traveler from facing the same ordeal.

“I decided to tell my story because I do not want anyone else to experience what I experienced.”

A flydubai spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the carrier does not disclose passenger information or details involving continuing investigations.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority,” a spokesperson told the publication.
