After the primary ended in Michigan with a DSA win, activists such as Hasan Piker demanded that mainstream Democrats get in line behind Abdul El-Sayed. For the most part, the state party complied. Haley Stevens endorsed El-Sayed almost immediately, and no official refusal to follow the nominee has erupted. Some notable Democrats, such as former Jill Biden chief of staff Michael LaRosa, have endorsed Rogers, much to the chagrin of the radical activists demanding party unity:

LaRosa generated even more ire by appearing on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show to confirm his choice. Critics from the Left poured scorn on LaRosa for his refusal to abide by the outcome of the primary, along with more personal attacks on his character.
So … will these same activists get behind the party’s choice of David Crowley in Wisconsin after Francesca Hong’s embarrassing defeat in Wisconsin? Let’s check in with Piker himself to see how he plans to enforce party discipline. With knives, you say? Quelle surprise.
First off, Piker blames “national media” for Hong’s narrow loss, while also venting his spleen about coverage of El-Sayed:

First off, Piker is the one lying about the polls, not the national media that has largely provided cover for Piker and his radical allies. Pollsters ran head-to-head comparisons against Rogers for both candidates, and Haley Stevens scored the same or better in all but one. The TIPP poll in May showed Stevens up seven over Rogers and El-Sayed up only one. The EPIC-MRA poll just before the primary showed Stevens up two over Rogers, but Rogers up three points over El-Sayed. The only poll that showed Rogers beating Stevens and losing to El-Sayed before the primary came from MIRS/Mitchell Research the week before the primary – and that same poll showed El-Sayed up fourteen points over Stevens.
How’d that work out? And who’s “f***ing lying to you” in this regard?
Also, what in particular did the “national media” lie about with Hong? Her past statements got uncovered and reporters asked her to respond to them. That’s it. Hong turned out to be just as bad as Graham Platner in doing so and, in some cases, doubled down on the crazy. The DSA’s radicals turn out to be bad at this, thanks to their dramatic disconnect from the American mainstream. The media may have 99 problems, but insufficient narrative protection for Democrats and the Left ain’t one of them.
Piker was clearly unhinged last night, and it only got worse, as I predicted this morning. Just days after demanding that the ‘establishment’ get behind El-Sayed and largely succeeding, Piker finished his rant with dark thoughts about his plans for the same ‘establishment’ that has undermined the DSA and radical, anti-Semitic Hamas symps:

No kidding. The knives will be out figuratively, and considering the DSA’s propensity for endorsing violent responses, perhaps literally as well. At any rate, the idea that the DSA will simply fall in line for Crowley in the same way that Piker and the socialists demand of Democrats in Michigan is clearly unrealistic. And that means that Crowley may find himself a lonely figure in the general election, with the figurative knives stuck in the back of his campaign. In its way, it’s analogous to Jasmine Crockett’s refusal to play along with James Talarico in Texas, and will likely have a similar electoral effect.
