Poll Reveals the Left’s Favorite Ways to Remove Trump [WATCH]

Trump Derangement Syndrome appears to be driving a startling share of Democrat voters toward extreme methods of removing President Donald Trump from power.

For a party that constantly invokes democracy, the results present an extraordinary contradiction.

A Liberal Currents and Center for Strategic Politics poll, amplified by CNN pundit Scott Jennings, examined five possible routes for Trump to leave office before his term ends.

Four of those routes received support from a plurality of Democrats surveyed.

The reported breakdown placed impeachment and removal at plus 80, the 25th Amendment at plus 77, natural death at plus 40, a military coup at plus 32, and assassination at negative 12. Assassination was the only tested option that remained underwater.

Even so, 29% of Democrat voters supported assassinating the president, according to the poll results.

The result is especially alarming given the political violence described in recent years.

The anniversary of the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk had recently passed after the killing initially sparked an outpouring of celebration on the hard left.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, many leftists also expressed regret that Trump had not been taken out by an assassin’s bullet.

The poll’s findings suggest those attitudes were hardly confined to a negligible corner of the Democrat base.

The support for removing Trump through a military coup is equally striking after years of outrage from radicals over the January 6 insurrection.

That label has been used for a non-deadly and mostly unarmed riot that occurred outside of the Electoral College during the 2020 election objections.

The survey covered 683 Democrat voters and was conducted by the Center for Strategic Politics in partnership with Liberal Currents.

The details appeared in a Sept. 21 report by Chance Phillips.

Respondents were asked about subjects ranging from the 2028 presidential field and the Senate filibuster to criminal prosecutions.

They were also questioned about how they would react to various scenarios in which Trump ceased to be president.

The results extended well beyond Trump’s removal and showed broad support for major structural changes.

A majority favored eliminating the Senate filibuster, while 69% backed expanding the Supreme Court.

Another 68% agreed that America would be better off accepting more immigrants from a variety of backgrounds.

Those findings placed aggressive changes to the courts, Senate rules, and immigration among the priorities supported by respondents.

The poll also found net support for public ownership and operation across several major sectors.

Those areas included healthcare and pharmaceuticals, the electrical grid, railroads, and artificial intelligence.

Criminal prosecutions of Trump administration members also drew support from Democrat voters.

The survey found respondents willing to endorse a future Democrat administration pursuing members of the Trump administration for several stated reasons.

Trump officials connected to support for ICE and Border Patrol registered a plus 63 figure as targets for prosecution.

Stephen Miller received plus 61, while Pete Hegseth received plus 53.

Some unedited responses suggested that many Democrat voters placed a high priority on accountability for what they viewed as the last two years of Trump’s administration decimating American institutions.

When formally polled, respondents remained willing to support criminal prosecution of Trump administration members.

Taken together, the survey offers a bleak picture of how far the Socialist Democratic Party’s voters are prepared to go.

Their preferred options range from impeachment and the 25th Amendment to prosecutions, a military coup, and, for 29%, assassination.

The findings also provide a preview of what Americans could face if the radicalized party takes power after the November elections.

The numbers show that extreme rhetoric is not merely background noise when substantial portions of the Democrat electorate are willing to endorse extreme action.
