Friday Night Lights delivers … again! I tell you what — high school football is undefeated. It’s never let me down before, and I doubt it ever will.

I’ve taken it upon myself here at OutKick to highlight at least one high school football play/player/story each and every Saturday during the season. These guys are all about to be millionaires with the silly NIL rules, so we might as well get ahead of the curve and start identifying them early.

Anyway, high school football, I believe, is the backbone of this great nation. You can tell a lot about a town based on the size of the high school football stadium alone.

So far this season, we’ve seen (arguably) the country’s top running back do incredible things in Tennessee, a wild Hail Mary in Florida, and an entire California team get suspended because the mascot flipping off some fans during a rivalry game.

Today, I’d like to head on up to Kentucky, where Boyle County tight end Seneca Driver saw red after the defender intercepted a ball from his quarterback.

And by that, I mean he tossed this poor kid to the turf like a ragdoll.

That’s no boy. That’s a man. And he’s playing a child’s game right now in the great state of Kentucky. A man amongst boys.

Driver stands at 6-foot-6, 234 pounds, and was named Kentucky’s 4A Player of the Year last season after leading Boyle County to a state title. The senior finished with 875 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense, and 67 tackles and five picks on defense.

He had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Auburn and Cincinnati before committing to Oklahoma in March. Driver, who both Rivals and 247Sports rank as one of the best tight ends in the country, had four touchdowns and an interception in one half of a game earlier this season.
