Holy SMOKES – don’t tease me, fellas, but I think so.

You know, back in April I was snortin’ fire about this chica and her amnesty plans, and absolutely gobsmacked that Trump would keep his mouth shut about them.

We don’t want to “buy peace for these people”.

We want less crowded roads.

She’s just nails on a blackboard, and I did not understand why he let such a wide-open target for a primary challenge go unscathed.

But he went and endorsed her in spite of their ‘differences’ and stuck to it even when she came out with an ‘in-your-face’ campaign ad, ripping the president for his immigration enforcement.

We kept waiting for Trump to blow a royal gasket…

Trump says he supports Miami Congresswoman Salazar despite her ad slamming his immigration policy

President Donald Trump said Friday he still supports U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar in her re-election campaign, but disagrees with the Miami Republican’s opposition to his aggressive immigration policy.

“I’m very strong on the borders — and she isn’t,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office after being asked about Salazar’s campaign ad video condemning and torching his deportation agenda.

In the blistering campaign video ad, Salazar blasts Trump’s immigration policy, pointing out that more than half of those arrested by U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement agents have no criminal records.

No one needs a kinder, gentler Trump around snakes in the grass, hello. 

Trump says Salazar got ‘a little bit soft on the border’ after critical immigration ad

President Donald Trump said Friday he disagrees with a fellow Republican who aired a campaign ad criticizing his immigration crackdown, saying Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar of Florida had grown “a little bit soft on the border” even as he kept his endorsement of her reelection bid.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said he had seen the advertisement in which Salazar told him some of his enforcement efforts “have gone too far” and that Hispanic voters who backed him in 2024 “feel betrayed today.”

“I disagree with her,” Trump said. “She got a little bit soft on the border. I understand that […] But I just don’t happen to be there.”

It was like he goes soft in the head when it comes to her.

‘Was‘ being the operative word.

I have no idea what flipped the switch when it comes to Trump’s kid-glove treatment of the Hispanic spitfire, but I tell you what – I am here for every second of it.

The first clue that something was off with their truce was two days ago, when Trump media account posted a WaPo story that contradicted Salazar’s rabid amnesty stances.

It turns out that a majority of the Hispanic Miami voters think the president’s got the right ideas.

Their problem was actually her.

Miami did not ask for a lecture from an open border leftist.

Salazar is the radical who is out of step with her district.

The attack escalated from subtle to direct as Trump spent the morning unleashing a Xweet storm. Not of his own authorship, but a cumulative, scrolling compilation comprised of all the critical howls from Salazar’s constituents and others on social media about the SoFL representative and amnesty champion.

It’s way too late to let this seat fall to a Democrat, but Trump is clearly laying the groundwork for a replacement in 2028, especially if she doesn’t get in line

He should have done this in February. This was Salazar a year ago, already trying to undercut Trump’s specific plans for illegals, and what got him elected.

She couldn’t have been clearer, and she has used every opportunity to cut the legs out from under this administration ever since.

So WHUT has suddenly turned Trump’s fire in her direction, after she told everyone she had a ‘fantastic’ discussion with him?

Was she just too overconfident that the leash was off, no matter what she did or said that ran counter to the administration’s policies?

…Other posts accused the three-term congressmember of betraying Trump — echoing long-standing criticism from MAGA that the Florida lawmaker is pro “amnesty” as an immigration policy, a characterization that she has repeatedly denied.

“When asked if the posts meant a withdrawal of an endorsement, a White House official didn’t answer whether Trump would still support her, but said, “It’s unfortunate she has her view, but that is not the President’s. The President campaigned on a strong border, which was a large reason as to why he won by a landslide in 2024.”

Salazar’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The posts mark the sharpest break yet between Trump and Salazar, whom he gave his “Complete and Total Endorsement” for reelection as recently as August for doing a “truly fantastic job” representing Florida’s 27th Congressional District.

…Earlier this week, Salazar said she had a “fantastic conversation” with Trump about the issue and that he “listened.”

Like I said, I’m here for it, but it sure seems poorly managed to have a hissy fit over an old bugaboo with the midterms a month away.

Curious to see what comes out of her camp in response.

This could get really hot.
