Hillary Clinton Attacks Trump and Gets Obliterated by Her Own Record [WATCH]

Hillary Clinton has once again discovered a supposed threat to democracy, and once again it involves Donald Trump.

As Red State reported, the former secretary of state criticized Trump’s effort to keep Politico, CNN, and MSNOW out of the White House, calling the move “deeply disturbing.”

“Honestly, every day that goes by, another unconstitutional, illegal action takes place on the part of this administration,” Clinton told The Washington Post.

“And this latest one is so troubling because kicking out news organizations from covering the administration from the White House really sends a signal that everything is at risk.”

Clinton then elevated her complaint into a sweeping defense of journalism. “Freedom of the press, as you know so well, is a cornerstone. I mean, it is at the core of who we are as Americans,” she added.

That lecture would carry more weight if Clinton’s own record did not offer such an obvious rebuttal.

Her complaints about unconstitutional behavior also arrive after social media platforms suppressed Trump and censored Americans who criticized the COVID pandemic response or challenged official narratives involving the Russia-Ukraine War and global warming.

The Obama administration, where Clinton served as secretary of state, also faced direct accusations that it restricted press access.

Nearly 40 news organizations accused that administration of improperly controlling presidential images by limiting access for independent photojournalists while granting broad access to official White House photographers.

News outlets and journalism groups raised their objections in a letter and during a meeting with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.

They argued that the White House had blocked an unvarnished view of government activity while creating officially sanctioned competition for private news organizations.

The letter said restrictions on photographers created “a troubling precedent with a direct and adverse impact on the public’s ability to independently monitor and see what its government is doing.”

The 38 organizations involved included the White House Correspondents Assn. and the Tribune Co., owner of the Los Angeles Times.

Clinton also has a more personal press access problem lurking in her record.

In 2015, David Martosko, the Daily Mail’s U.S. political editor and the designated national print pool reporter that day, was denied entry to Clinton events in New Hampshire.

Those events included an early childhood education forum at the YMCA of Strafford County in Rochester. A Secret Service agent told Martosko, “No. You can’t come in.”

He was also prevented from riding in the press vans.

That episode makes Clinton’s current outrage look especially hollow.

Her campaign denied access to the designated pool reporter, while she now portrays Trump’s attempt to revoke White House privileges from particular outlets as a sweeping assault on the constitutional freedom of the press.

The dispute also centers on the conduct of networks that have relentlessly targeted Trump.

According to the source, CNN then misrepresented coverage of Trump’s trip to Tennessee after the network was removed from the pool feed.

CNN allegedly gave viewers the impression that nobody was covering the trip, although Real America’s Voice was providing coverage.

The criticism is that CNN made itself the center of the story rather than reporting the event it was supposed to cover.

The same press institutions complaining about revoked privileges also covered up Biden’s decline while excusing or ignoring his limited press access, according to the article.

That record makes the sudden concern about press freedom look less like a consistent principle and more like partisan outrage aimed at Trump.

Clinton may present herself as a guardian of constitutional press protections, but her own history complicates that performance.
