Texas Man Smashes Into Closed Kroger for a Bathroom Break, Cops Say

A Texas man apparently turned a bathroom emergency into a wrecking job after police said he intentionally drove through the front entrance of a closed Kroger grocery store.

The overnight incident ended with extensive damage and an arrest on criminal mischief charges, as reported by Fox News.

The driver was described only as a man who was 60 years old. No name was included in the account of the incident.

Images released by Rosenberg Police showed the vehicle sitting inside the Kroger after the crash. Shattered glass was scattered both inside and outside the damaged entrance.

The metal door frames also appeared to have sustained significant damage. Police said the vehicle entered through the pharmacy entrance and caused extensive destruction there.

“On Sunday, September 27th, at approximately 0428, a known male individual intentionally accelerated into Kroger, causing extensive damage to the pharmacy entrance,” Rosenberg Police wrote on Facebook.
