The U.S. Army awarded 10 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts with a combined ceiling of $4.15 billion for counterdrone technologies, including sensors, command systems, jammers, and weapons. Seven companies received potential awards of $500 million each, while three received smaller ceilings. Only about $50 million was obligated initially, meaning most spending depends on future orders and congressional funding. The Army plans to expand the contracting vehicle toward a $7 billion ceiling, supporting the Domestic Shield program and faster procurement of rapidly evolving counter-UAS capabilities.
