Anyone who assumes women are the more docile sex has clearly never gotten between a mama and her kid. This is something that happens throughout the animal kingdom, but doesn’t stop there. Rudyard Kipling didn’t write, “That the Female of Her Species is more deadly than the Male,” for nothing.

And a mom in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, went into mama bear mode when a group of teens was trying to rob her son.

While humans weren’t gifted with fangs or claws by the Good Lord, it’s cool. We made our own, and she used them.

At 11:20 a.m. April 13, a woman called police to report an incident ionvolving her juvenile son and guns.

The woman said she was making breakfast when she noticed in her driveway that her son was with a group of teens, one which whom was “pulling on” her son. All were standing next to an SUV in her driveway.

The woman went upstairs, got her gun, and went back outside to show the gun and tell the youths to let her son go and to leave. The youths had possession of her son’s phone charger, WIFI box and coat.

Seeing the gun, they gave her son back his belongings, but did not leave. They said that her son had possession of their gun and they wanted it back.

The woman, 41, had her son give back the gun. One of the teens, however, threatened to kill her son and shoot up her house. The woman told them they would do no such things. They then left in the SUV and the woman called police.

The son acquired the gun after the group tried to rob him and dropped it. He, wisely, picked it up.

I hate that she gave it back to them. Calling the cops and handing it over to them would have likely not just dealt with this group, but also kept them disarmed for a little bit.

Plus, they now definitely had the means to carry out the threat.

However, as far as I can tell, that was all talk. It seemed that when the woman said they weren’t going to shoot up her house, they finally got some sense and listened.

It seems the son reached a deal to sell a coat for $700, which is freaking insane to me. When this group came over to buy it, he let them in the house, but then thought something fishy was up and wanted to do the deal outside. It turns out that something fishy was, in fact, up, and he should have just aborted the deal entirely.

Folks, don’t let strange people into your home. If you’re going to sell something to people you don’t know super well, arrange to meet at a public place, go armed, and conduct the transaction where people can see you.

The last thing you want is for your friends to find out that the only reason you didn’t get robbed was that the would-be thieves found out that the female of the species is more dangerous than the male.

In other words, you had to have your mama save you. Kipling aside, you know your boys aren’t going to let you ever live that down.

I, on the other hand, am just glad someone had a gun other than the criminals here.
