With debanking still an issue among the financial industry, it makes sense for the firearm industry to embrace companies that are explicitly pro-Second Amendment to handle their financial business.
Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of banks that are explicitly pro-gun, but there are options for other financial services.
And one of them isn’t just marketing to gun companies and refusing to cut ties with them over what business they’re in, but they’re going to fund pro-gun efforts.
From a press release:
The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is pleased to announce that ShotPay – a 2A-friendly, full-stack payments ecosystem for the firearms industry – will donate a portion of proceeds from each transaction to support the organization’s legal and educational efforts.
“Every qualifying transaction through ShotPay helps fund the Second Amendment Foundation,” said ShotPay CEO Joe Fox. “That is the entire point. The firearms industry has spent years paying tolls into financial systems controlled by people who do not support us. ShotPay was built to reverse that flow of money. Our goal is simple – turn everyday commerce into a funding engine for the organizations defending our rights. We are giving gun companies the payment infrastructure they need to sell more, save more and take control of their financial future, while making sure every purchase helps fund the organizations fighting for our rights. This is how we stop funding our opposition and start funding the future of the Second Amendment.”
For decades, the firearms industry has unknowingly funded the very financial institutions working against it. ShotPay is changing that. The company gives merchants a way to sell more while ensuring more of every dollar stays inside the Second Amendment ecosystem. Instead of every gun purchase becoming another toll paid to big finance, they turn commerce into advocacy. ShotPay is liberating the industry from big finance by giving merchants one full-stack platform for embedded credit card processing, BNPL, layaway, wholesale/manual invoicing, gateway services, and 2A-friendly banking rails.
“We’re always grateful to companies that want to support SAF’s efforts to ensure the right to keep and bear arms remains for generations,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. “For more than 50 years SAF has been fighting to ensure the Second Amendment isn’t relegated to a second-class right, and thanks to companies like ShotPay we will remain at the tip of the spear in defending, securing and restoring our constitutional freedoms. This unique partnership further exemplifies the good that can be accomplished when we collaborate across the industry, and we look forward to working with the ShotPay team.”
In other words, just doing business via ShotPay will create revenue for the Second Amendment Foundation.
As noted above, for a long time, the gun industry helped pay for the assault on its livelihood by using banks and payment processors that despised what they stood for. They took money from gun stores and handed it over to anti-gun groups so they could look like they cared about things, at least to the people who expect everyone to share their opinions on everything or be destroyed.
Now, they can pull their business out of that and put it in an ecosystem that values the same rights they do.
Plus, when you go and buy a gun or some ammo, you’re not just getting your goods, but you’re helping to contribute toward defending your right to keep and bear arms, all without having to do a thing beyond maybe looking to see who uses ShotPay locally to you.
And if you’re able to hoist a middle finger to the financial industry that not just wants to bend you over on every transaction they handle for you and that already crashed the economy back in 2008 while still pretending to be the kings of morality, so much the better.
Editor’s Note: The radical Left will stop at nothing to enact their extreme gun control agenda and strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
