Women for Gun Rights Announces 2026 National Summit in Washington, DC

Women are one of the fastest-growing demographics in the firearm community, and it has been for a while now. It’s also one we would do well to support with every fiber of our being. After all, they bring a lot to the gun rights table, and not just that they help dispel the idea that guns are only for middle-aged white dudes. either.

Women for Gun Rights is an organization that’s harnessing the power of those female voices, coalescing them under an umbrella, and bringing all of that to bear in the fight for the Second Amendment.

And now they’re announcing their 2026 National Summit:

Women for Gun Rights (WGR) has announced its 2026 National Summit, taking place September 12–14, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The Summit will bring together advocates, educators, grassroots leaders and supporters from across the nation for a weekend dedicated to civic engagement, leadership development, constitutional rights and community building.

The 2026 National Summit represents a major expansion of the organization’s national advocacy efforts and offers attendees an opportunity to engage directly in the legislative process while connecting with influential voices in the Second Amendment movement.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will participate in:

  • Educational sessions on Second Amendment policy and current issues
  • Leadership and grassroots advocacy training
  • Capitol Hill engagement opportunities
  • Networking events with activists, educators, and industry leaders
  • Special keynote presentations and panel discussions
  • A gala celebration honoring freedom, leadership, and constitutional rights

Designed to empower and equip attendees with practical advocacy tools, the Summit will focus on education, civic participation, and building lasting relationships among freedom-minded Americans from across the country.

There’s a whole slate of events for attendees, which you can and should check out.

I’m a firm believer that events like this are critical to the Second Amendment and our fight to not just retain what we have, but to have the totality of our rights returned. Unfortunately, for a lot of women, that’s a little intimidating, especially since it’s not like every guy in the Second Amendment space is particularly welcoming to women. Most are, but it’s the exceptions who always stand out.

With an organization like Women for Gun Rights and their national summit, you’re far less likely to encounter them; they won’t be part of the official proceedings, and it’s possible to connect with numerous other voices for gun rights.

Yes, I’d prefer that it didn’t matter to anyone, that all would be welcomed so long as they stand for our Second Amendment rights, and we could push forward united, but if we’re getting into preferences, I’d really prefer that our rights had never been molested in the first place. Whatcha gonna do?

In the meantime, we fight, and we find allies for the fight, and Women for Gun Rights is an organization that, I think, is a vital part of that fight. Also, just so everyone is clear, while the NRA might be the site for that announcement, this is not an NRA-affiliated organization. They’re their own thing. I made a mistake on that once, and now I’m going to point it out a lot, just to make it right.

Seriously, check it out if you’re interested. A lot of good can come out of these events.

Editor’s Note: President Trump and Republicans across the country are doing everything they can to protect our Second Amendment rights and right to self-defense.
