Since entering the league in 2005-06, he has reached the 30-goal mark in every season but one. The only exception came in 2020-21, when he scored 24 goals in 45 games during a shortened 56-game season and also missed nine games.

Tuesday’s game gave Ovechkin 928 regular-season goals for his career, extending the record he set last year when he moved past Wayne Gretzky’s 894.
