Sitting here in Minnesota, I’m not feeling so generous to our neighbor to the north.
Our AQI—Air Quality Index—is currently the third second-worst in the world, behind Detroit (who, admittedly, deserves it, if not the surrounding cities). I taste smoke in my mouth, am coughing regularly, and have the air cleaners on high, making it sound like a hurricane is raging in the house.
Chinese cities have cleaner air.
Time to invade, I say. Send in the B2s, SEAL Team Six, or Delta Force and abduct Mark Carney.
Minneapolis currently has the 3rd worst air quality in the world, worse than any third-world city. I am inside, and I taste smoke in my mouth and cough constantly.

Anyway…I didn’t think I would write about this mini-controversy because it didn’t seem worth it, but then, I thought, why not? It’s not so much what happened in this case that is interesting; rather, it sits at the intersection of so many bad cultural trends that it provides a nice jumping-off point to discuss what’s so wrong about how the left thinks about things.
This story popped up a day or two ago. A Canadian woman married to an American man was arrested after walking up to a teen and slapping her. She was incensed because the teen was wearing patriotic clothing, including a shirt supporting President Trump.

She was, quite rightfully, turned over to ICE for deportation, and all hell broke loose. Her husband took to TikTok to beg for donations so he could hire a lawyer, and liberals started complaining that this was yet another example of Trumpian cruelty to immigrants, and of course political persecution.

It’s the perfect life story of leftist activists; they are inclined to violence, spend all their time running down the society in which they live, and that likely funds their grotesque lifestyle, and they engage in violence when they find something they dislike.

She and her husband previously lived in Texas with his father before abruptly relocating to NJ. His followers have been asking what prompted the sudden move. The couple appears to have had a dispute with another leftist, which she addresses at length in one video, though her explanation remains quite vague. She performs in a punk rock band.
Both she and her husband fit the pattern of many committed leftists: no clear careers and no stable financial footing.
Zero positive contribution to this country, she is just another deranged violent leftist.
Deport her ass.
In the grand scheme of things, one leftist more or less in America really doesn’t make a difference. People like her are a dime a dozen. We could just toss her in jail for a few months and let her go, and the world would be no worse.
But, no. She should be deported, and here’s why: we don’t need people like this in the US. They hate the country, commit petty crimes and violence, contribute nothing, and make all our lives just a little bit worse. Whether she slapped the kid or not, she should have been kicked out just for being a drain on society.

The same should be done with every immigrant, legal or not, who regularly complains that America sucks. Why put up with it? We have to when it is done by citizens, but we don’t when they aren’t. Freedom of speech is great, and I cherish it, and would fight for the right of Bernie Sanders or AOC to bitch all they want.
But we let people into the country from elsewhere on the presumption that they will contribute to society, take care of themselves, and be decent human beings. Many, if not most, immigrants are that and are deeply grateful to our country, as they should be.
Kaitlyn Tracey was a guest in this country. She turned out to be a horrible guest who trashed the place, drained our resources, insulted the hosts, and slapped one of our kids.
Toss her out. And if anybody complains, slap them and see how they like it. They would probably say it was attempted genocide. (No, don’t slap them! That was said in jest.)
