Chuck Schumer’s Voter ID Mental Gymnastics Laid Bare by Anna Paulina Luna [WATCH]

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna criticized Democratic leaders for what she described as contradictory positions on voter identification, arguing that opposition to voter ID undermines claims of concern about election integrity and will cost Democrats politically.

Luna made the remarks while addressing what she called inconsistencies among Democratic lawmakers, singling out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and others for opposing voter ID requirements while demanding identification in other contexts.

“Guys, the mental gymnastics of some of my colleagues never ceases to amaze me,” Luna said.

“So the same elected officials, i.e., Chuck Schumer and company, that don’t want voter ID are saying that not only do they want ICE to show identification, but also they are repeating this idea, this conspiracy theory.”

Luna said Democrats are simultaneously opposing voter ID while claiming that President Donald Trump will interfere with future elections.

“It’s Blue-Anon that President Trump is going to steal the midterms,” she said.

She argued that those positions are incompatible and questioned why Democrats would resist voter ID if they truly believed elections were at risk.

“So let’s play into their little game here,” Luna said.

“So if you were really afraid of election theft, wouldn’t you want voter ID? Wouldn’t you want that election integrity, security?”

Luna said Democrats have rejected those measures despite publicly raising concerns about election interference.

“Nope, but they don’t want that,” she said.

“They just want to lie to their voters.”

According to Luna, support for voter ID extends across racial and demographic lines, contradicting claims often made by Democratic leaders.

“But they’re voters Democrats, they actually want voter ID,” she said.

“Fact: Black, Hispanic, Asian, White, we all want it.”

Luna said Democrats’ refusal to adopt voter ID measures will ultimately hurt their electoral prospects.

“They should probably do it, but they’re not going to,” she said.

“But we will.”

She concluded by predicting Republican victories in upcoming elections, tying those expectations to the party’s stance on election security.

“Which is why we’re going to win the midterms,” Luna said.
