The Congressional Baseball Game took place Wednesday night, a night of fun and bipartisan competition where Democrats and Republicans come together and put differences aside. But Matt Hurtt, director of the Leadership Institute, a conservative nonprofit that educates young students, alleged that Democratic Party staffers verbally berated a group of conservative high schoolers for two hours Wednesday night.
The alleged staffers can be heard shouting at the high schoolers to “stay in school” in an X post shared by Hurtt. The group with the Leadership Institute was seated on the side of the stadium with mostly Democratic Party fans, where they sat through hours of yelling, including being told to kill themselves, according to an alleged father of a student. All the yelling in the world couldn’t save the Democrats from dropping their sixth straight Congressional Baseball Game, as the Republicans took home the Roll Call Trophy, winning 11–2.
