O’Donnell said Trump once confused Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

She added that his mistakes are reminiscent of what might be excused at “Thanksgiving dinner,” but that “you would never let grandpa cut the turkey because it might be dangerous.”

Tapper, joining in the exchange, noted another incident, referencing a moment when Trump reportedly referred to the “Islamic Republic of Japan.”

O’Donnell agreed, calling it another example, and said that there are “so many” similar moments.

She said it is “obvious” that Trump’s condition involves “dementia and how it’s taking over.”

She also mentioned that “millions of Americans” have experienced the pain of watching family members go through “exactly what he’s going through.”
