President Donald Trump pushed back Friday against renewed questions about his health, insisting he is in “PERFECT HEALTH” and that he “ACED” a cognitive examination for the third consecutive time, as reported by The New York Post.
The president made the remarks in a post on Truth Social following the publication of a wide-ranging report by The Wall Street Journal, which examined Trump’s health near the end of the first year of his second term.
The report addressed topics including visible bruising on his hands, his hearing, and a recent medical scan.
“The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH,’ and that I ‘ACED’ (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked!), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take,” Trump wrote.
In a postscript, Trump added, “I strongly believe that anyone running for President, or Vice President, should be mandatorily forced to take a strong, meaningful, and proven Cognitive Examination. Our great Country cannot be run by ‘STUPID’ or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!”

The Journal report was based on an interview with Trump and focused on several health-related issues that have drawn public attention.
Trump, who will turn 80 on June 14, said the dark bruises sometimes visible on his hands are the result of a long-standing aspirin regimen.
“My doctors would rather have me take the smaller one [baby aspirin]. I take the larger one, but I’ve done it for years, and what it does do, is it causes bruising,” Trump told the Journal.
“They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” he added. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”
Trump and his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, also clarified details about a medical scan Trump underwent during a physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Oct. 10.
According to the report, the scan was a CT scan, not an MRI as previously suggested.
“I would have been a lot better off if they didn’t [do the scan], because the fact that I took it said, ‘Oh gee, is something wrong?’” Trump told the Journal.
“Well, nothing’s wrong.”
The president also rejected claims that he struggles to hear people during meetings and disputed viral images that appear to show him dozing off at public events, saying those images captured moments when he was “blinking.”
Trump addressed his limited interest in traditional exercise, saying he prefers golf and finds most workouts “boring.”
In July, the White House disclosed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a circulatory condition that has caused swelling in his lower legs.
Trump said he briefly tried wearing compression socks to manage the condition but stopped because “I didn’t like them.”
After the Journal story was published, Barbabella issued a statement saying Trump “remains in exceptional health and perfectly suited to execute his duties as Commander in Chief.”
If Trump completes his full four-year term, he would leave office in January 2029 as the oldest president in U.S. history, surpassing the record previously held by Joe Biden.
