Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia announced Thursday on X that he is seeking to impeach the federal judge who was allegedly caught having sex in courthouse chambers with an Atlanta police officer.
Clyde wrote that he is in the process of drafting articles of impeachment for the Obama-appointee, Judge Eleanor Ross of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, because of allegations she engaged in sexual activity during business hours as part of an extramarital affair with a deputy police officer. She was professionally reprimanded for the reported incident. The sexual incidents on the job site allegedly took place regularly across a two-year-span. The 11th Circuit internally investigated the matter.
“Her egregious misconduct, severe lack of integrity, and blatant impartiality warrant impeachment proceedings,” Clyde said. “Stay tuned.” (RELATED: Former Democratic Sen. Sinema Acknowledges ‘Romantic And Intimate’ Relationship With Married Bodyguard In Lawsuit By Ex-Wife)
