‘Innocent Nurse’ Was Actually Hunting ICE Agents [WATCH]

Benny Johnson accused major media outlets of misleading the public about the death of Alex Pretti, arguing that journalists falsely portrayed Pretti as an innocent bystander while omitting details about his confrontations with federal officers.

Johnson said media coverage surrounding Pretti’s death relied on altered imagery and selective reporting that obscured his actions leading up to the fatal encounter with federal agents in Minneapolis.

“Everything the media has told you about Alex Pretti is a lie, including what he looks like,” Johnson said.

“This is Alex Pretti who brought a loaded Sig Sauer p320 to a physical altercation with Federal officers this week. He resisted arrest and fought those officers and lost his life.”

Johnson said media outlets manipulated the circumstances of Pretti’s death to influence public perception.

“Now, every American life lost is a tragedy, whether it’s gunfire or fentanyl,” he said.

“But what’s also a tragedy is when the media lies about these deaths in order to manipulate us, and that is precisely what they are doing with Alex Pretti.”

Johnson pointed to an MSNBC broadcast in which Pretti was described as a nonviolent bystander.

“The nonviolent bystander by ICE agents in Minneapolis this time, it was 37 year old Alex Pretti,” MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said.

Johnson said the image used during the broadcast did not accurately depict Pretti.

“That’s not a real person,” Johnson said.

“This is an MSNBC broadcast that was seen by millions of people. I can’t believe that they did this. They actually changed the image in order to try and create further sympathy, primarily among their female audience.”

Johnson said the altered image was part of a broader pattern in media coverage.

“They know this. It’s psychological warfare. MSNBC is disgusting for doing this,” he said.

“Imagine if you die for your cause, and then somebody at MSNBC decides you’re too ugly to be a martyr.”

Johnson also criticized media outlets for portraying Pretti solely as an innocent nurse, arguing that prior encounters with federal agents were not disclosed.

“They’re also not telling the full story about who Alex Pretti was,” Johnson said.

“They want you to think that he’s simply a innocent nurse who was caught in the crossfire, but that’s not true.”

Johnson cited reporting indicating Pretti had been involved in a prior confrontation with ICE agents that resulted in injury.

“Earlier incident. He stopped his car after observing ICE agents chasing what he described as a family on foot, and began scouring and blowing his whistle,” CNN correspondent Priscilla Alverez said.

“Pretti later told one of these sources that five agents tackled him and one lead on his path, on his back, appearing to leave him with a broken rib.”

Johnson said that incident undercut claims that Pretti was an uninvolved bystander.

“So if you’re doing this, you’re not an innocent bystander,” Johnson said.

“Alex Pretti was a soldier, not a civilian. Civilians don’t break a rib at a physical confrontation with police and then show up and do it again the next week armed.”

Johnson questioned how Pretti knew where federal officers were operating and suggested coordination among activists.

“Who was sending Alex Paredes to these locations in order to get in physical confrontations with the federal authorities?” he said. “How did he know where federal authorities were?”

Johnson referenced claims of left-wing activist coordination through messaging platforms.

“There’s a signal chat right now by left wing agitators that has been infiltrated, and they say that Alex Pretti was in on these chats, following and tracking ICE agents and was being deployed as more of a mercenary than a nurse,” Johnson said.

Johnson said photos exist showing Pretti confronting federal officers and interfering with arrests.

He said none of that information was disclosed in mainstream coverage.

“None of this is to say that he deserved to die,” Johnson said.

“But the media deserves to tell you the truth that this was somebody who was a paid left wing agitator and activist.”

Johnson said the public narrative surrounding Pretti did not reflect the full scope of his actions.

“This is a man who’s totally different from the man they’re trying to portray to you on TV,” he said.

“It’s still a tragedy, but you need to hear the full story. This is who Alex Pretti actually was.”
