Iran making threats isn’t exactly news, but it really has become fixated on vengeance for the death of Khamenei. I wrote here about the banners that were flying all over Tehran during Khamenei’s funeral.

The regime even set up a petition to kill Trump which people could sign.
🚨 The Iranian regime continues to amplify threats against the US President
Fars News Agency (IRGC-affiliated) released this video titled “Signatures on the petition to kill Trump”.

This week, Iran continued that theme by placing a huge billboard in Tehran showing Trump in a coffin.
Those who pass the gigantic corner billboard in Enghelab Square in central Tehran are used to seeing political symbols and sometimes the faces of political leaders.
The figure who appeared there in images shared by international news agencies on Wednesday was President Trump, his body peeking out from an open black coffin.
The figure’s eyes and mouth are closed and its hair is disheveled…
White graffiti splattered across the coffin includes the words “We Will Kill Trump” in both Persian and English.
Here’s what it looks like.
🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran is really poking the bear now…

Another banner set up this week shows Trump’s entire family in coffins draped with U.S. flags.
A billboard unveiled in central Tehran shows portraits of Donald Trump and his family above coffins draped in the Stars and Stripes.
The image in Palestine Square, with the White House as a backdrop, is the most personal in a series of state-produced murals threatening the US president, as the war between the US and Iran escalates.
The mural carries the slogan “Blood for Blood” and directly threatens Mr Trump’s family with revenge for attacks that have wiped out senior members of Iran’s leadership and their families.
Here’s video of that one.

I’m still not sure how this is helping Iran. They are in the midst of a shooting war again and threatening to murder the president seems like a bad way to sue for peace.
Bridges, rail lines, power and water facilities and other targets in Iran, Kuwait and elsewhere in the Middle East were attacked in airstrikes on Friday as the United States and Iran broadened their weeklong crisis over the Strait of Hormuz into tit-for-tat strikes targeting infrastructure that can serve civilian purposes.
Since President Trump declared a cease-fire agreement “over” more than a week ago, daily bombardments have escalated into some of the most widespread attacks since the war began in late February. The U.S. strikes have hit not just military targets but also logistics infrastructure that can also serve civilian needs, including a control tower at Iran’s third-largest port. Iran has tried to strike similar targets in U.S.-allied Gulf countries.
Despite all this, Iran does seem to be hinting it’s ready to resume talks.
Tehran’s release of an Iranian American citizen this week, coupled with a hint from Iran’s chief negotiator, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, that his country could be open to talks, suggested that the door to diplomacy may still be ajar.
Another influential figure in Tehran, the lawmaker Mohammad Reza Bahonar, said Friday, “Dialogue and negotiation is also a continuation of the war and part of it.”
So we’ll have to wait and see how much more of this pounding Iran wants to take before they cry uncle.
Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
