Cold. Cunning. In pursuit of power above all else.
But enough speculation about former first lady Jill Biden. America has her new “Lady Macbeth” in Gisele Fetterman, wife of Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman. She’s just the latest Democrat to embarrass her apparently incapacitated husband in public fashion. (RELATED: Bizarre Biden Memo Exposes Depth Of Presidential Delusion)
Gisele Fetterman returns to the headlines courtesy of a new book with a very long title. “Radical Tenderness: The Value of Vulnerability in an Often Unkind World,” was released July 8 to a largely indifferent public. Two Amazon reviewers rate the book “one star.” One rates it “five stars.” There have been no further customer reviews, as of July 17.
A review of the book from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette suggests the tell-all is rife with intimate details with regard to her husband’s much-speculated upon mental state.

The senator suffered a stroke in May 2022, before his victory against television host Dr. Mehmet Oz in the race to become senator of Pennsylvania.
The stroke caused severe auditory processing issues, leaving John Fetterman reliant on a tablet to transcribe what was being said to him, The New York Times (NYT) reported in February 2023. John Fetterman later revealed he was “suffering from depression” following the stroke.
“I finally told him, ‘John, if something happens and you die tomorrow, the kids are going to remember you as a really sad person. Is that what you want?’” Gisele Fetterman wrote, according to the Post-Gazette. The next day, the outlet claims, John Fetterman checked himself into the Walter Reed Medical Center. Reports to that effect swirled in February 2023.
The benefit of airing such information about a sitting U.S. senator is … What, exactly? Beyond setting off alarm bells for voters, that is.
Even were John Fetterman a private citizen, divulging such personal, unflattering details about one’s spouse would be ill-advised. Particularly to an audience of at least three strangers. Four if you count the poor sap at the Post-Gazette who had to skim all 240-ages of “Radical Tenderness.”

“The media attention was unbearable,” Giselle Fetterman complained of the days following her husband checking into treatment, according to the Post-Gazette,
Credit where credit is due. Gisele Fetterman has nailed the “Meghan Markle.” The former royal is the queen of complaining about the media while crafting guaranteed media fodder.
“Coping with mental health challenges in a public setting opened John (and me) up to ridicule and intense criticism,” the book reads, according to the Post-Gazette. “It was the first time a politician had been so quickly and publicly vulnerable about depression or mental health challenges, so while some media attention was not surprising, I did not expect it to skew toward such cruelty.”
Far be it from the media to pay attention to a sitting senator who cannot understand what is being said to him without the use of an aid. Or who, according to his own admission, had an alarmingly laid-back attitude towards death.
“If the doctor said, oh, by the way, you have six months left, I would have been like, OK, whatever,” John Fetterman said in a Time interview. “That’s how bleak it was.”

I am glad John Fetterman appears on the mental and physical up and up. The fact remains that it is extraordinarily alarming that a prominent American leader was disabled in such a fashion while in office. That the latter sentence applies to several Democrat politicians in recent memory is also cause for great concern. (RELATED: Biden Makes Bumbling Return To Politics At Best Possible Time For Trump)
“Because John is a public figure, we had no choice about whether what our family was going through could remain behind closed doors,” Gisele Fetterman continued, according to the Post-Gazette. “But I did have a choice in the value that I placed on others’ opinions, and it was very little.”
Right. Which is why she wrote a book guaranteed to elicit other people’s opinions on her life.
