Kelly Clarkson is officially heading back to The Voice, reclaiming her iconic red chair after several seasons away from the hit NBC competition series.

The network confirmed that the Grammy-winning singer will serve as a coach for Season 30, reuniting with longtime friend and fellow coach Adam Levine.

NBC announced the news on Instagram with a highlight reel of Clarkson’s best moments on the show.

The caption read, “Team Kelly has RE‑entered the chat. Kelly Clarkson returns as a Coach this fall on The Voice!”

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

The announcement arrives amid a significant life and career transition for Clarkson.

She has decided to end The Kelly Clarkson Show, which became one of daytime television’s biggest hits since its 2019 premiere.

Despite widespread acclaim and impressive ratings, the singer explained that wrapping up the show will allow her to devote more time to her two children following the loss of their father, Brandon Blackstock.

Blackstock passed away from melanoma last August at the age of 48, a tragedy that reshaped Clarkson’s perspective on balancing work and family.

In a heartfelt statement, Clarkson confirmed that The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude after its current season, with its remaining episodes set to air through Fall 2026.

She expressed gratitude to her production teams in both Los Angeles and New York, writing, “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York.”

Clarkson continued by celebrating her colleagues and partners, posting, “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for… and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

She added that her next chapter will allow her to “prioritize” her 11‑year‑old daughter River and nine‑year‑old son Remington as they continue to adjust to life after their father’s death.

Throughout her time as a talk show host, Clarkson became a daytime favorite thanks to her down‑to‑earth personality and powerhouse vocals, delivering cover performances and conversations that resonated deeply with guests and audiences alike.

Since its debut, The Kelly Clarkson Show collected 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Talk Show Host, solidifying Clarkson’s place among television’s most celebrated personalities.

Now, with the talk show’s end on the horizon, Clarkson’s return to The Voice marks an emotional and professional full circle.

The role helped launch her post‑American Idol journey into a new era and became one of the most recognizable parts of her career.

For fans, her comeback means more witty banter with fellow coaches, more heartfelt mentoring moments, and, most of all, the familiar spark that made “Team Kelly” a fan favorite.

As she closes one door and reopens another, Clarkson seems ready to redefine what balance looks like—between career, creativity, and family—on her own terms.
