Media entrepreneur Spencer Pratt, who is running as a Republican candidate for mayor of Los Angeles, released a campaign advertisement on Wednesday that directly criticizes current Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman, both of whom are considered leading contenders in the race.

In the ad, Pratt contrasts his own circumstances with those of his opponents while addressing issues facing the city.

“This is where Mayor Bass lives. You notice something?” Pratt said in the video.

He continued, “Or here, where Nithya Raman’s $3 million mansion sits. They don’t have to live in the mess they’ve created, where you live.”

Pratt also referenced a personal experience as part of his campaign message.

“This is where I live. They let my home burn down. I know what the consequences of failed leadership are. That’s why I’m running for mayor,” he said.

He added, “For my sons and the rest of us Angelenos that want to stop these corrupt politicians from destroying our city. We are going to get the golden age of Los Angeles back.”

The advertisement marks an early effort by Pratt’s campaign to differentiate his platform from that of his opponents and to highlight what he described as leadership failures in the city.

Pratt’s campaign materials describe him as focused on addressing concerns among communities that he says have been overlooked by city leadership.

According to his campaign website, Pratt “is dedicated to fighting for the communities too often ignored by those in power and ensuring that Los Angeles is once again ‘camera-ready’ for all its citizens.”

His campaign has emphasized restoring conditions in the city and advancing policies aimed at improving quality of life for residents.

The messaging reflects an effort to position his candidacy as a departure from current leadership while appealing to voters seeking changes in local governance.

The Los Angeles mayoral primary is scheduled for June 2.

Early polling indicates that Pratt faces a competitive field and will need to gain additional support as the election approaches.

Recent surveys show a significant portion of voters remain undecided, with roughly 40 percent of respondents not yet committed to a candidate.

The same polling data indicates that Nithya Raman has gained support within the field and is currently polling ahead of Mayor Bass.

The race is expected to focus on a range of issues affecting Los Angeles, including housing, public safety, infrastructure, and economic conditions.

Candidates have begun outlining their positions as they seek to engage voters ahead of the primary.

Pratt’s entry into the race adds another candidate to the contest as the field continues to develop.

encer PrattHis campaign’s early messaging, including the release of the advertisement, signals an effort to define the race around leadership decisions and the current state of the city.

With several months remaining before the primary, campaigns are expected to continue outreach efforts as candidates work to build support among voters and address key issues facing Los Angeles.
