Mamdani: I Lied About Arresting Netanyahu. Israel’s Response? Loser!

This is what happens when you sleep through civics class. Or when your teachers sleep through it. Bowdoin College must be sooooo proud!

New York City’s equivalent of a callow student body president just discovered yesterday that he can’t actually fulfill his promises to end homework and get better food in the cafeteria, let alone arrest foreign leaders who travel to his city under diplomatic immunity. Last night, Zohran Mamdani attempted to cover up his humiliating retreat from his campaign promise to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, finally acknowledging that he had no idea what he was talking about, by demanding that Donald Trump let him off the hook.

Lotsa luck, pal:

Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal. pic.twitter.com/YRezmW6YVx

— Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani (@NYCMayor) July 22, 2026

It took Mamdani two full minutes to admit he was full of crap. Nonetheless, he kept attempting to fill his reserves past the overflow point:

The mayor, a sharp critic of the Israeli government, had said earlier that he was exploring whether the prime minister could be arrested on a visit to New York. Mamdani accused Netanyahu of committing genocide in Gaza, a charge the Israeli government has rejected.

Er … no. Mamdani had insisted during the election campaign and as recently as this past week that he did have the authority to arrest Netanyahu. He didn’t say anything about “exploring,” at least not until his legal team likely handed him a high-school civics book and pointed him to the part about mayors being subordinate to federal authority.

Mamdani then attempted to make the moral case for Netanyahu’s address anyway rather than just take the L:

“Anyone with their eyes, with their heart, with their conscience, should recognize the devastation he has wrought and understand that he belongs before a court of law,” the mayor said in a video posted on social media Tuesday night.

He said that his administration had reviewed every available avenue to determine whether city authorities could arrest Netanyahu.

“It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant,” he added. “The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant.”

That much has been clear for 250 years, at least to everyone who actually paid attention in high school rather than having mommy and daddy send him to activist training. As for eyes and hearts, that’s a rich claim coming from someone who amplifies Hamas propaganda after their October 7 massacre of Jews and Americans. Hamas started the war with that invasion and orgy of murder, rape, and kidnapping. Mamdani and his ilk are just butt-hurt that Jews fight back when attacked, a lesson Jews have had to learn the hardest way in history.

Anyone with eyes, heart, and a conscience would know that Hamas is a terrorist group actively promoting genocide, and that twenty years of attempting to negotiate with them is what produced the worst single-day loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust. The Mamdanis and Bowdoin formed a radical activist rather than educated a child, which is why Mamdani lacks heart and conscience, and apparently also lacks enough sense to grasp that mayors don’t get to set foreign policy.

Israel and Jewish groups didn’t hesitate to point this out:

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said Mamdani’s threats don’t faze the prime minister.

“But it only shows what we are dealing with today, with the elements that seek to instigate, to incite. And Mamdani is one of those forces,” Danon exclusively told The Post.

Danon blasted Mamdani in a scathing post on X: “You were elected to serve New Yorkers, not Hamas’ propaganda.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center noted in a statement that Mamdani’s address made “no mention of Hamas or the October 7 massacre of innocent civilians.”

“Instead, he delivered a sweeping moral indictment of Israel while erasing the terrorist atrocities that ignited this war,” the Jewish human rights organization continued.

“Appeals to universal humanity and justice ring hollow when they exclude the victims whose suffering does not fit a preferred political narrative.”

As for Netanyahu being a “war criminal,” Mamdani has a rather constricted view of this allegation. Did he apply it even once to the Hamas thugs that raped Israelis, a clear war crime? Did he accuse Hamas of war crimes for abducting civilians and hostaging them, long defined as a war crime as well as terrorism? How about the murders of babies, including those they kidnapped on October 7? At least Mamdani admits that this is a war, which Hamas started with those war crimes and atrocities, which means that Israel has the right to fight it until its enemy is defeated in the field.

Noam Blum put this anti-Semitic performance art in its proper perspective:

Pay no attention to my crumbling city. Instead, watch me bang these Netanyahu-shaped cymbals for the next several years.

— Noam Blum (@neontaster) July 22, 2026

Mamdani is an incompetent fool. He will grasp at every distraction within reach to avoid the consequences of his inadequacies, which include a Bowdoin “education.”

Addendum: Tom Cotton wants to help Mamdani find a few more “war criminals” in his midst. Funny how Iran and its proxies get a pass from Commie Mamdani, eh? And by “funny,” I mean “indisputably evil.”

NEW: @SenTomCotton slams NYC Mayor Mamdani’s double standard, pointing out his push to arrest Israeli PM Netanyahu at the UN while staying silent on the Iranian representatives attending—despite their regime murdering tens of thousands.
