Melania Trump Threatens to Sue Hunter Biden For Billion

Last week I pointed out that James Carville had altered one of his podcasts after receiving a letter from Frist Lady Melania Trump’s lawyers. First, here are the comments that got him in trouble.

James Carville: To me, a key figure in this is Melania. I think that is at the bottom of what they don’t want to get out cause it was all modeling agencies.

More Carville: Remember Trump had a modeling agency, then Epstein got into the modeling agency, and then Jean-Luc Brunel,… pic.twitter.com/noryWaQXL3

But after receiving the letter, Carville backed down and re-edited the podcast. Here’s his apology.

FAFO 🚨

James Carville talked s’hit about Melania and was contacted by her Atty’s, who told him apologize and retract the video..or get sued

He apologized..

But it turns out Carville wasn’t the only person talking about this or receiving a letter from Melania’s lawyer. The Daily Beat also retracted a story.

The Daily Beast took down an article Thursday alleging a modeling agent connected to notorious sex predator Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania Trump to her husband, President Trump.

The article, which detailed claims made by author Michael Wolff on a Daily Beast podcast, was replaced with an editor’s note apologizing “for any confusion” after the first lady’s lawyers contacted the lefty outlet.

“After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article,” read the editor’s note.

So that’s two outlets that retracted rather than risk a lawsuit. It turns out Hunter Biden made similar allegations connecting Melania to Jeffrey Epstein (based on the same source). And once again, her lawyers sent Biden a letter demanding a swift retraction.

Melania’s attorney demanded Hunter “immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” he made about the first lady in an interview earlier this month on the YouTube show “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.”

“Failure to comply will leave Mrs. Trump with no choice but to pursue any and all legal rights and remedies available to her to recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer,” Florida-based attorney Alejandro Brito wrote in his Aug. 6 demand letter to Hunter and his lawyer, Abbe Lowell, obtained by Fox News…

“Given your vast history of trading on the names of others – including your surname – for your personal benefit, it is obvious that you published these false and defamatory statements about Mrs. Trump to draw attention to yourself,” Brito charged.

The letter ended with a deadline giving Hunter Biden until Aug. 7 (last Thursday) to comply or face a lawsuit. Obviously we’ve gone past that date now and so far we’re not aware of any lawsuit being filed. But Hunter Biden doesn’t seem worried about it.

Hunter Biden crassly brushed aside first lady Melania Trump’s threat to sue him for $1 billion if he doesn’t retract “false” and “defamatory” comments linking her to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

“F–k that. That’s not going to happen,” Biden said with an arrogant smile during an interview on the YouTube show “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan” on Thursday…

A cocky Biden also suggested he would love to get to a deposition with the Trumps over the Epstein claims.

“I also think they’re bullies, and they think that a billion dollars is going to scare me,” he said. “If they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein — if the president, the first lady want to do that, and all of the known associates around them at the time of whatever time that they met, I’m more than happy to provide them the platform to be able to do it.”

I have no idea if the First Lady has a strong legal case against a public figure talking on a podcast about her, but I do think Hunter’s approach seems pretty risky given his current financial situation. Just a few months ago there were reports he was broke.

Hunter Biden may have his freedom, but the son of former President Joe Biden now finds himself mired in debt, without a permanent home, and the target of ongoing attacks from the current president, Donald Trump, and his allies on Capitol Hill, according to a court filing.

In court papers filed Wednesday, Hunter Biden asked a federal judge to dismiss his lawsuit against online provocateur Garrett Ziegler because he “does not have the financial resources to continue litigating this case.”

Amid lagging sales of his art and his memoir, the younger Biden remains “several million dollars” in debt after fighting multiple federal criminal cases, claiming in an affidavit that he only sold one painting for $36,000 since late 2023, after selling 27 paintings in the previous couple of years at an average price of nearly $55,000.

He couldn’t continue litigating because he was out of money. So what happens if Melania sues? Even if she doesn’t have a strong case, he would have to defend himself in court and try to get the case dismissed. That adds up to more legal bills Hunter can’t afford to pay. Is there anyone around Hunter telling him to be careful?

If you’re broke and on shaky ground, it’s probably not wise to pick a legal fight with a billionaire. That’s my top tip for the day.
