With his resignation and Greene’s own exit from Congress earlier this year, many internet sleuths were quick to wonder if this tropical “new chapter” spelled something more permanent than a vacation.

Greene was ready with receipts and a heavy dose of scorn for those peddling what she called falsehoods. She took to X to clarify that she remains a Georgia resident and was merely visiting Costa Rica alongside Glenn.

“I’ve never been involved in insider trading,” she wrote. “My investments were made by my financial advisor and legally reported following the law.”
