We know, from poll after poll, that the vast majority of Americans understand the difference between males and females, especially when it comes to sports. Gallup has tracked the shrinking support for males who “identify” as female intruding on women’s competitions over the last few years, with its latest iteration in June 2025 showing 69% of all respondents opposed. Even Democrats hesitate to support that intrusion:
Roughly two-thirds of Americans support two separate policies prioritizing the birth sex of transgender people over their current gender identity. Sixty-nine percent of U.S. adults continue to believe that transgender athletes should only be allowed to play on sports teams that match their birth sex, and 66% of Americans say a person’s birth sex rather than gender identity should be listed on government documents such as passports or driver’s licenses.
Each of these policies has broad support from about nine in 10 Republicans but only about four in 10 Democrats, while independents’ views are similar to the national averages. A slim majority of Democrats (54%) believe people should be able to list their current gender identity on government documents, but fewer (45%) think transgender people should be able to play on sports teams that match their gender identity. Fourteen percent of Democrats are unsure where they stand on this question about transgender athletes.
The Harvard-Harris CAPS poll has tracked this same question for a few years as well. The results are almost exactly the same, even in the secondary demos:
The topline is barely different at 67/33 opposed to males competing in female sports. The opposition from Democrats in this series is slightly higher at 49%, in fact.
All of this matters when analyzing the latest survey results from Napolitan News Service on the subject. Once again, opposition to males competing in female leagues runs close to two-thirds at 63/20, with another 17% undecided. In this poll, a majority of Democrats (53%) side with common sense. So who exactly are the people supporting male intrusion in female competitions?

Six in 10 voters (59%) who talk politics daily say they are paying Very Close attention to the WNBA talks, compared to just 13% of the nation at large. In fact, when it comes to the vast majority who talk politics once a week or less, just 4% are paying Very Close attention. …
When it comes to the issue of the 2 former NBA players who now plan to enter the WNBA draft, voters are even more adamant: just 14% say former NBA players should be allowed to play. A solid majority (57%) say they should be banned, and another 10% say former NBA players should be banned, but not other biological males.
Meanwhile, half (49%) of those who talk politics daily say biological males should be allowed to play, and a majority (52%) say the NBA players should be allowed.
Allow me to contain my abundant level of surprise to find out that the transgender activists mainly belong to the professional s***stirring industry. They want to stoke controversy even where no controversy actually exists, just to get the dopamine hits from the clicks. And they literally do not care at all who might get hurt in their sad, narcissistic, virtue-signaling pursuit:
Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters nationwide say allowing biological males to compete would deny opportunities for biological women to compete. Even more (66%) say it increases the chance of significant injury to biological women.
Interestingly, voters who talk politics daily are even more likely to believe both of these things are possibilities, even as they hold their out-of-touch views. At least 3 in 4 (75%) of this insiders crowd acknowledge these realities, but say they should be allowed to compete.
The fringe activists pushing males into female spaces don’t care at all about women. They only care about avant-garde posturing for the Queer Movement. And that’s also true of the Protection Racket Media outlets that treat these radicals as virtuous, and cast the common-sense opposition as “haters.”
