Pedro Pascal sparked laughter and surprise during his latest visit to CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday when he kissed the host on the lips and referred to himself as “an actress” while promoting Disney’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, as reported by Breitbart.
As Pascal joined Stephen Colbert on stage, the host greeted him warmly, saying, “What a pleasure to have you back.”
The actor, known for his roles in The Last of Us and The Mandalorian, responded by pressing a finger to his lips, playfully hinting that he wanted a kiss.
Colbert obliged, leaning in and kissing Pascal directly on the lips. The audience in the theater responded with loud applause as the unexpected gesture became the highlight of the night’s show.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement
Pascal quickly explained the moment, joking that he was “jealous” because Colbert had shared a kiss earlier with the evening’s first guest, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
His comment was widely shared on social media, including in a post on X by LateNighter documenting the exchange.

The host kept the atmosphere light, smiling and responding, “No need. Any time.” He added that it was great to see Pascal again and noted that the actor’s previous appearance on the show had been his very first late-night television interview.
Colbert told his guest, “Here you are, almost 10 years ago in 2016,” as he shared a photo from their first meeting.

The image showed both men smiling together during Pascal’s earlier visit, underscoring how long it had been since he first joined the program.
The conversation turned reflective when Colbert asked Pascal if he had been nervous during that first appearance. The Game of Thrones actor admitted that he had. “I was terrified. I am terrified now,” Pascal confessed.
He went on to describe the experience of appearing on The Late Show’s large stage, calling the theater “breathtaking” and saying the scale of the venue had been overwhelming at the time.
“It’s a really big and beautiful theater. It’s amazing to be back. It’s a little bit much for the very first talk show that you’ve ever done,” he said.
Continuing with humor and self-deprecation, Pascal added that he noticed how tense he looked when he rewatched the older interview. “Very big space,” he said, recalling how he had been visibly uptight on camera.
“And I was scared. I watched it back, and I was like, ‘Oh, wow, yeah, I’m not really breathing.’”
Then came the line that caught additional attention online. With a laugh, Pascal declared:
“But I’m an actress! You know what I’m saying?”
His offhand remark drew more laughter from the audience and from Colbert, who seemed delighted by the actor’s vibrant energy.
The exchange showcased the easy rapport between the actor and the host, as well as Pascal’s willingness to play along with the show’s typically irreverent humor.
The scene generated quick reactions across social media platforms as fans commented on the actor’s charm and playful spontaneity.
The Late Show segment also contributed to promotion for Disney’s upcoming project The Mandalorian and Grogu, linking Pascal’s television appearance to his ongoing collaboration with the franchise.
However, by the end of the segment, it was the kiss and Pascal’s self-description—not the film—that remained the most talked-about aspects of his visit.
