Pedro Sánchez Wants People to Think Ceuta Is Over; It’s Worse Than Before

Pedro Sánchez is very angry that people noticed there was a problem in Ceuta, the small enclave of Spanish territory on the African continent, surrounded by Morocco and accessible only by going around a fence that extends into the Mediterranean. 

Tens of thousands of Muslims stormed the border, entering the enclave, and Sánchez is quite proud that “most” of them returned to Morocco after they had their fun acting like a mob. As European countries closed their borders to visa-free travel from Spain, he and Ursula von der Leyen did their best to downplay the situation and reassure everybody that none of these migrants would escape into Europe. 

For now, most of them haven’t, due to the pressure of those angry countries, but the result is that Ceuta has descended into complete lawlessness. A tiny city that used to be peaceful and mainly crime-free is now overrun with some of the worst Morocco had to offer.

Think Mariel boatlift types. Criminals whom the government of Morocco kindly gifted to Ceuta, where they can rape Spanish girls instead of Moroccan boys. 

Authorities in Ceuta will round up migrants and hold them in warehouses before sending them back to Morocco.

It is estimated that more than 70,000 people flooded into the Spanish enclave last month, taking advantage of lax security and swimming around a border fence that separates Ceuta and Morocco. 

Up to 100 people died during the mass influx which occurred over 48 hours, with Ceuta President Juan Jesús Vivas declaring a ‘humanitarian emergency’ as the enclave became overwhelmed with new arrivals. 

And authorities said at least five migrant girls under the age of 14 have allegedly been raped since arriving in Ceuta. 

Though most of the migrants who entered Ceuta have now left, up to 8,000 remain. 

The Telegraph reported that Spain’s government will be using a warehouse in Tarajal, yards from the Moroccan border, and another in the enclave to temporarily house them. 

Officials are hoping to return the migrants within 72 hours of finding them, during which time they will be sent to the warehouses to be formally identified and processed. 

But there are serious questions yet to be answered about migrants who apply for international protection, whose applications have to be examined under EU and Spanish law. 

No doubt they are still downplaying the problems, and most especially the last one identified: Spanish and EU law requires that asylum seekers get special treatment, even though Morocco is on no list where asylum would be routinely granted to those making applications.

Ceuta is not itself part of the Schengen Zone, even though Spain is. I assume that this was part of the original treaty in anticipation of potential problems, or in the eventuality that Spain returns the enclave to Morocco. But with more than 10 percent of the population of Ceuta now refugees rampaging through the city, the temptation to remove the asylees to the mainland must be large, and it would have happened immediately but for the outburst of rage from other Schengen Zone members.

CEUTA is a powder keg!

15 days after the invasion, clashes between Africans and Maghrebins and the police are becoming increasingly frequent.

Cholera, tuberculosis, measles, scabies, and infectious diarrheal diseases arrived in CEUTA along with the migrants.

The residents are terrified and hardly dare to go out on the street anymore.

And at GESPE on the Moroccan side, thousands are once again gathering to storm CEUTA.

And the problem is far from limited to the invaders inside Ceuta. A new batch is organizing to storm the border, and the European Union is putting a mighty amount of pressure on Morocco to keep the border secure. No doubt there will be significant money changing hands in order to make it happen.

Sánchez has made clear that he prefers the new residents to the old, talking up diversity, decrying the racism of people who don’t welcome their soon-to-be overlords. It seems that liberals, no matter where they are, aren’t so fond of their own citizens and prefer the newcomers. 

It makes little sense, given that at least some of these people are as safe to be around as rabid dogs, but the elites seem fine as long as they are themselves protected.

Imagine if Georgia Meloni had not gotten the ball rolling and enlisted her fellow EU members to revolt, forcing Ursula von der Leyen to pressure Spain and Morocco. A situation that is merely disastrous right now, and limited to Spanish citizens that few people, even in Spain, care much about, would have turned into a new Syrian refugee crisis.

All this goes to show that Poland, Hungary, and the Eastern European countries got it right all along. Yet the European Union has been fining Hungary for years for not doing its part to bring down Western civilization. It’s only when the Nordic countries defected on the issue that the snooty Western Europeans started taking notice. 

Meanwhile, a new set of rapists and violent Muslims have yet another foothold from which to enter Europe.
