Polls show Americans are largely skeptical of our growing dependence on artificial intelligence (AI). Naturally, Democratic and Republican lawmakers seem to be choosing a side.

A November 2025 Pew Research Center survey found that 50 percent of Republicans and 51 percent of Democrats said they were more concerned than excited about the growing role of AI in daily life. This marked a shift from earlier years, when Republicans had expressed greater concern.
