Racism Did Not Kill Jason Arday

It’s not unheard of for a conservative to “commit to the bit”—forcing an issue far past the time when anybody should plausibly take you seriously—but for lefties, it is one of their primary tactics. 

Conservatives hate to do it because it is such an affront to rationality; liberals love to do it because if you are consistent about insisting that absurdities are real, people begin to accept that they are. 

We saw that over the weekend with the tiresome reminders that poor, young, innocent Michael Brown was “murdered” by the police after he innocently tried to take the guy’s gun. Brown was stopped after he stole items from a convenience store and threatened the proprietor.

His “innocence” was established by friends who lied, claiming he had put his hands up and begged not to be shot. None of that was true, of course, but it is now the official narrative of the left, and most people believe it because the left committed to the bit.

We are watching in real time the exact same thing being done with the Jason Arday story. The left (and the media, and academia, and…) are turning Arday into an innocent martyr killed by a ravening mob of racists who seized on his minor peccadillos to turn him into a monster, leading him to kill himself. 

If only we left him alone!

Arday killed himself once his house of lies finally collapsed under its own weight and he couldn’t face the world to say two words: “I’m sorry.”

This story is complete and utter crap. First and foremost, if Jason Arday had not been promoted by Cambridge, the media, and even THE OLYMPICS as a kind of demigod, nobody would ever know his name. 

He and Cambridge perpetrated a fraud on the world to promote a corrupt ideology based on lies. Such behavior is always egregious, but especially when the most powerful institutions in the world do it, with the explicit goal of reordering society along their own preferred lines. 

I don’t think the media behaved particularly badly, the reason the story kept going was because there was so much that he lied about.

Following the story was not a “witch hunt,” but an exposé of fundamental corruption and the bullying of people whose only goal was to tell the truth. A truth that Jason Arday, Cambridge University, the entire sociology world, and the cultural elite were perpetuating to justify their false ideology. 

And ideology aimed at fundamentally transforming society—a goal they freely admit to having.

The leftists spoke in support of DEI and condemned the journalists who reported on Arday, especially the academic who broke the story on Substack. 

Arday had sicced police and expensive lawyers on those who attempted to report on him months ago. Those who reported on Arday more recently are being targeted with threats by BLM activists and leftists.

They demand we just bow down and accept it. Arday was happy to accept his near-godhood status, and to profit mightily off of it. He got more than a million dollars to write an autobiography filled with lies, many of which were directly aimed at characterizing white people as violent bigots. He claimed he was attacked with a knife, had a pig’s head sent to him as a threat, and was hounded by racists who did not exist. 

None of those were anodyne lies. They were sold as proof that British society is irredeemably racist, justifying the suppression of speech, the harassment of critics by police, and censorship. Fighting back is not a “witch hunt.” It is basic self-defense, which is not allowed by white people who really should just allow themselves to be stabbed and bleed out in the streets, as happened to Henry Nowak, or raped by Muslim rape gangs, as happened to hundreds of thousands of young British girls. 

It’s reparations!

It is now quite common for liberals to tell us to just sit back and take it, mouth the lies, and nobody gets hurt.

Lots of harm. We all know that. But even if there were no harm at all, forcing people to accept lies is a massive harm in itself. It is tyranny. 

The sorry affair of Jason Arday was barely about Arday at all. It was, and remains, about the fundamental corruption of our most important institutions. The breezy willingness to lie in order to force ideas and behavior on people, and the efforts to push the “witch hunt” meme are just another version of that tyrannical impulse. 

“If only you would mouth the lies along with us, everything would be OK!”

No. No, no, no, no! 

It took mere moments for the news of Arday’s death to be transformed into yet another political weapon to shut up dissenters from the Leftist Narrative™. That Narrative™ killed Arday, because when it was exposed as a lie, he couldn’t live with the consequences. There is much to be said about that, but I won’t say it. All I can say is that it is sad beyond measure that he chose to leave his two children and wife alone because he couldn’t face the music. 

We cannot keep allowing the Left to shape the Narrative™. It is a weapon, and they wield it well. Almost every human being on earth believes that Matthew Shepherd was killed by gay bashers in Laramie, Wyoming, when in fact it was a drug deal gone wrong, and it was a former lover who killed him. 

That story shaped a generation into believing that Wyoming is filled with neanderthals, a slander that is particularly inapt because Laramie is a college town. 

Promoting or accepting lies destroys society and cedes power to the worst people on Earth. I will not do it, and neither should you.
