The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided the home of Democratic Virginia state Sen. L. Louise Lucas Wednesday over alleged ties to a major corruption investigation.
FBI agents were reportedly seen raiding Lucas’ home in Portsmouth, Virginia, in connection with an ongoing corruption investigation, as well as serving multiple search warrants at her office and a cannabis dispensary next door, according to Fox News. Lucas, who serves as President Pro Tempore of the Virginia Senate, is the architect of the recent efforts by Virginia Democrats to gerrymander the state’s congressional map, from a 6-5 advantage for Democrats to a 10-1 advantage.
