REPORT: Two GOP Lawmakers Go Head-To-Head In Push To Expel One Another

Republican Reps. Nancy Mace of South Carolina and Cory Mills of Florida are reportedly pushing to expel each other from Congress.

Mace previously sought to censure Mills in November 2025, while the Florida congressman is now reportedly considering an expulsion resolution of his own against Mace and has already drafted a measure, according to NOTUS. A source familiar with the matter told the outlet the resolution is expected to reference, among other incidents, a Charleston International Airport exchange where Mace allegedly confronted security officers and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials. Mace said Mills is “coming after me” and called for his expulsion in a statement to the Daily Caller. (RELATED: Nancy Mace Allegedly Berates Police Officers At Charleston Airport, Calling Them ‘F*cking Incompetent’)

We have been saying it for months. Cory Mills is a dangerous man who has no business being in Congress. We tried to censure him and strip him from his committees back in November. The swamp protected him like it always does.

He needs to be EXPELLED. https://t.co/4JsGnXlwdL

Mace alleged security agents were not ready for her arrival and made her vulnerable at the time, according to NOTUS. The ongoing dispute between the two lawmakers reignited Monday following the resignations of former Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell and former Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales amid allegations of misconduct from former staffers last week.

Mace pointed to a series of past allegations about Mills, much of it previously covered by The Blaze and independent journalist Roger Sollenberger, in a response to the Caller. “Cory Mills lied about his military service, has been accused of beating women, has a restraining order against him, and has allegedly been stuffing his own pockets with federal contracts while sitting in Congress. As a survivor, I will always stand up and right the wrongs of others. He is only coming after me because he knows he’s next,” Mace alleged.

“Cory Mills is the worst kind of pond scum in Congress and I realize this is an insult to pond scum. He chose to come after me days after my father passed away, a real war hero, something Mills would not know anything about since he lied about his military record for years. He needs to be expelled IMMEDIATELY,” the congresswoman continued.

The Caller reached out to Mills for comment on the expulsion resolution but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Mills has faced mounting scrutiny in recent months. In September, he drew attention after being one of four Republicans to oppose a resolution from Mace to censure Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar at a time when he was also facing the possibility of a retaliatory censure from House Democrats.

The House Ethics Committee announced a formal investigation into Mills in November, just hours before he was set to face a censure resolution that could have weakened his standing in Congress. He ultimately narrowly avoided a formal rebuke after most House Republicans voted to block a separate effort led by Mace to strip him of his committee assignments. Mace intensified her criticism, forcing a vote in November on a resolution to remove Mills from the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs committees, citing multiple ethics concerns. The resolution drew on reporting from NOTUS citing soldiers disputing aspects of Mills’ Bronze Star account, as well as a December 2024 Office of Congressional Ethics report suggesting he may have violated House rules by potentially retaining federal contracts while in office.

The Florida congressman has also been linked to a range of other controversies — including sextortion allegations, accusations of embellishing his military record, questions surrounding his religious affiliation and claims of financial misconduct —  according to The Blaze and Sollenberger.

His former girlfriend, Lindsey Langston, the 2024 Miss United States winner, reportedly filed a restraining order alleging he threatened to release explicit videos of her. Former colleagues have accused Mills of overstating aspects of his service in the U.S. Army and as a private contractor, according to The Blaze. He was reportedly married in 2014 by a radical Islamic cleric tied to the Muslim Brotherhood at a Virginia mosque, despite his public alignment with Christianity, the outlet reported.

Mr. Speaker, @SpeakerJohnson, why are we continuing to protect this monster?

Mills has also faced scrutiny over financial issues, including allegedly falling behind on rent for a luxury Washington, D.C., penthouse where monthly payments exceeded $20,800 and facing possible eviction, according to Sollenberger.

In May, Mace drew attention during a House Oversight Committee’s Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation hearing when she displayed nude images of herself. She alleged they had been taken and shared without her consent, arguing that the use of hidden cameras represents a serious breach of personal privacy and calling for stronger protections against nonconsensual surveillance.

Her remarks came amid an ongoing dispute with gubernatorial race opponent South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, whom she criticized for what she called a failure to prosecute alleged sex crimes tied to the incident. Mace has also accused her ex-fiancé of secretly recording her and other women.

The Caller reached out to House Speaker Mike Johnson for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication. The Caller also reached out to the House Ethics Committee. which responded with “no comment.”
