Scott Eastwood Says He Threatened to Whoop Shia LaBeouf During Tense On-Set Clash [WATCH]

Scott Eastwood is revisiting a tense moment with Shia LaBeouf from the set of the 2014 film “Fury,” saying the exchange nearly turned physical before Brad Pitt stepped in, as reported by Fox News.

During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Eastwood, 40, described what he called an incident involving LaBeouf while the actors were working on the World War II movie.

“There was sort of an incident that happened,” Eastwood said. “I’ve talked about it. Brad Pitt sort of broke up a little, a tense moment .”

LaBeouf played tank gunner Boyd “Bible” Swan in “Fury.” Eastwood said LaBeouf was a “very method” actor and claimed he pulled out his tooth and cut himself at one point.

Eastwood said that approach immediately made him want to keep his distance.

“And I remember thinking, ‘OK, this guy’s crazy. I’m just going to keep clear from this guy.’ I don’t play this game. You go and do that, but there’s plenty of ways to do a performance in a movie and be professional also, right?”

The tension, Eastwood said, centered on something his own character was doing during filming. He claimed LaBeouf took issue with him “spitting tobacco on the tank,” even though Eastwood said the action was written in the script.

Eastwood said the situation eventually reached a breaking point. “And then finally, I just said, ‘Enough’s enough.’ I said, ‘Hey, f*ck you.’ I said, ‘Stop pulling your sh*t.’ I said, ‘I’m going to whoop your a**,’” he continued. “And then, you know, he got … And then everyone broke it up.”

The actor did not frame the moment as an isolated frustration with Hollywood behavior.

During a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Eastwood discussed a separate experience with an unnamed celebrity who left a film after production had already started.

“Without saying any names … people get too famous for too long. They think the world owes them something,” Eastwood said.

According to Eastwood, the actor decided they no longer wanted to work with another person on the project after money had already been spent. He said the decision left others dealing with the fallout.

“They decided after we’d already spent a bunch of money that they just didn’t want to work with this other person and didn’t want to do the job,” Eastwood claimed. “I was like, ‘You need to pay that money back to the person who invested in you.’ And they said, ‘I’m not going to do that.'”

Eastwood said the actor left the project even though it was centered on “their story.” He called the situation “shocking” and “unbelievable” as he described what he saw as unprofessional conduct.

The “Lucky Strike” actor, who is the son of Oscar-winning filmmaker Clint Eastwood, said the experience made him think about a larger issue in the entertainment business.

“I’ve seen some behavior in this business that is shocking,” Eastwood said. “That would not go in other industries, but for some reason because we idolize [actors]…”

Although Eastwood was blunt about the negative experiences he described, he said he still very much enjoys what he does.
