SWAT Raids Tucson Home as Search for Nancy Guthrie Intensifies [WATCH]

Three people were detained Friday night in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie after a SWAT team from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department descended on a home near the 84-year-old’s Tucson property, according to reports.

Acting on a tip, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a residence about 2 miles from Guthrie’s home.

Two men and one of their mothers were taken into custody, a local police source told Fox News Digital.

Late Friday night, police officials posted on X that a statement would be “forthcoming,” though they did not provide details about the subject of the announcement.

The SWAT operation followed developments earlier in the day involving evidence recovered at Guthrie’s property.

Investigators said DNA belonging to someone not known to be “in close” contact with Guthrie was found at the scene.

The unidentified DNA was sent to a laboratory for further analysis.

Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen Jan. 31 at her Tucson home.

Authorities have indicated that the elderly grandmother appeared to have been forced from the residence, leaving a trail of blood behind.

Since her disappearance, multiple ransom notes have surfaced from individuals describing themselves as her kidnappers.

Despite the notes and the ongoing investigation, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.

The search for Guthrie entered its 13th day as of Friday.

Earlier in the week, a local delivery driver in the Tucson area was briefly detained in connection with the case.

The man told police he had never heard of the television personality or her missing mother, despite widespread media attention surrounding the disappearance.

Federal authorities have also become involved in the investigation.

On Thursday, the FBI released a description of an armed individual captured on Guthrie’s Nest camera at her front door.

According to the FBI, the person is a man standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build.

The FBI also announced that it had increased the reward for information leading to Guthrie or her captor.

The reward now stands at $100,000.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement agencies have not publicly confirmed whether the three people detained Friday night are directly connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.

Officials have not disclosed what evidence, if any, links the individuals taken into custody to the missing grandmother.

The residence searched Friday is located roughly two miles from Guthrie’s Tucson home.
