Sydney Sweeney is once again at the center of attention after a striking scene from the newest episode of “Euphoria” left viewers stunned, as reported by Page Six.
The Emmy-nominated actress’s character, Cassie, appeared completely nude except for a yellow python coiled around her body during a daring photoshoot.
Within the episode, the provocative shoot was arranged by Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, and also featured Rosalía and Anna Van Patten’s characters.

Cassie was shown in pink lingerie with a plunging neckline while posing alongside the snake, deepening the moment’s shock factor.

The extraordinary scene immediately took over X, formerly known as Twitter, where fans expressed disbelief.
One user wrote, “What do you mean there’s a deadly snake that Cassie takes pictures with?”
While another simply tweeted, “Cassie and that snake scene..?”
Several users compared the imagery to Britney Spears’ famous 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance with a live snake draped across her shoulders.

This is not the first time the HBO drama’s third season has courted controversy for its explicit depiction of Sweeney’s character.
Earlier episodes showed Cassie engaging in unconventional acts, including dressing as a baby and a dog, and even sucking her own toe.
The show’s bold content has also angered some OnlyFans models, including Sydney Leathers, who told Variety that Cassie’s depiction as an adult content creator is inaccurate and “infuriating.”

“There’s so much that they have her doing that is not even allowed on OnlyFans, and that alone is infuriating: the age-play stuff where she’s dressed as a baby in a diaper, for example,” Leathers said.
Sweeney has addressed criticism of her nudity before, defending the creative choices in a 2022 Teen Vogue interview.
“I think it’s important to the storyline and the character,” she explained, emphasizing that Cassie’s choices and expressions reflect her personal struggles.
She continued, “We all get naked in real life. We show this character’s life and what they’re going through. Cassie’s body is a different form of communication for her.”
That same year, Sweeney told British GQ she experienced harassment online after screenshots of her explicit scenes were spread and tagged to her relatives.

“It’s completely disgusting and unfair,” she said. “You have a character that goes through the scrutiny of being a sexualized person at school, and then an audience that does the same thing.”
Despite the uproar, sources told Page Six that her partner, music producer Scooter Braun, fully supports her commitment to the role.
“He fully understands that it’s part of her job and respects how dedicated she is to her craft,” an insider shared.
Between the serpent-themed photoshoot, social media backlash, and ongoing debate over boundaries in television storytelling, Sweeney and “Euphoria” appear unbothered by the noise.
The series continues to generate conversation with each new episode, ensuring that Cassie’s provocative scenes remain among the most talked-about moments in modern TV.
