Taylor Swift delivered a moment of pure surprise when she joined Lainey Wilson on stage at the Tight Ends & Friends concert, part of Travis Kelce’s Sports Illustrated and Tight End University event presented by Reese’s.

As Page Six reported, the show took place Tuesday night at The Pinnacle in Nashville, where fans were treated to a special duet of Swift’s 2008 hit “Love Story.”

As Wilson’s set neared its end, the country star teased the audience, saying, “I don’t think y’all are ready for what’s about to happen.”

Excitement built as the crowd buzzed with anticipation.

Wilson reflected on the first time she saw Swift perform when she was 16 years old, calling the artist “really, really special” and sharing that it had been “so cool” to watch all she had accomplished since then.

Then Wilson praised the pop icon, saying, “She is just as kind as she is talented. Y’all, welcome to the stage my friend Taylor Swift.” The audience erupted in screams as Swift walked out.

Wearing an asymmetrical black dress with a ruffled silver hem, Swift joined Wilson and asked the band, “Do you wanna do ‘Love Story’?” The crowd immediately recognized what was coming next.

Before starting the song, Swift quipped that the performance was a “special request by a very special tight end,” before naming San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who co-founded TEU alongside Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen in 2021.

The duo launched into the song with Swift taking the first verse and Wilson joining in for the second. Together, they filled the venue with a harmony that had fans singing along to every line.

When the spotlight turned to the song’s bridge, Swift gave the crowd another memorable moment. As she sang the lyric about pulling out a ring, she flashed her engagement ring from Kelce, drawing deafening screams and tears from some in the audience.

The Tight Ends & Friends concert featured a star lineup beyond Swift and Wilson, including performances from Dan + Shay, Chase Rice, and Hardy. Each act added to an electric evening that celebrated music and sports in equal measure.

The TEU gathering, an annual offseason summit for tight ends, kicked off the day before with a welcome party at The Twelve Thirty Club.

For the occasion, Swift wore a yellow floral minidress paired with matching strappy heels and posed for photos with Kelce and his co-founders.

Swift also made waves when she attended the first Tight Ends & Friends concert back in June 2025. That appearance came fresh off her Eras Tour and marked her first time on stage after regaining ownership of her master recordings.

At that earlier show, she teamed up with Kane Brown for an unexpected rendition of her hit “Shake It Off,” using Chase Rice’s guitar for the performance.

Swift told fans at the time, “We were up there having some drinks, and we were thinking, ‘How loud can this place get? Theoretically, how loud can the singing be in here?’” She noted that the idea had been formed “three minutes ago.”

During that same event, she dedicated the impromptu duet to her “favorite players,” and the crowd went wild. That show came shortly before Kelce’s proposal, following nearly two years of dating.

Now, the couple is preparing for their July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Swift celebrated her bachelorette weekend in Rhode Island with close friends, while Kelce enjoyed a bachelor weekend that included a Chris Lake concert in Los Angeles and a NASCAR race in San Diego.
