The Sick Celebrations of Charlie Kirk Assassination Anniversary

Ordinary Americans do not grasp what the American left has become. 

Sure, they are aware that there are a few extremists out there, as there always are in any group of people, but they are convinced that their beliefs and behavior are so far outside the Overton Window that anyone who points to them as examples of a sick social trend is creating a tempest in a teapot. 





I understand the impulse, partisans often grab onto isolated facts and blow them out of proportion, and it’s unlikely that the average voter knows many people who will express out loud sympathy for political violence — but the evidence is clear: promoting and celebrating violence is now quite common among the younger set of leftists, and ordinary liberals are now comfortable voting for and defending people who openly celebrate and even promote political violence. 

Jonathan Turley has written a lot about the growth of assassination culture in what he calls the “Age of Rage,” and despite a history of being center-left, he recognizes that this is most definitely a left-wing phenomenon. 

…What is so striking is that these radicals are not hiding their agenda or their hostility not just toward our core institutions and capitalism but also toward the Democratic Establishment. While figures from Harris to Newsom pander to the mob, they are being denounced as nothing more than “clickety-clack revolutionaries” by these radicals.

The rise of the DSA, the endorsement of candidates who openly embrace violence and terrorism, the election of Jay Jones, and the open calls for violence that have become common in academia are all evidence of this trend. But no examples are as powerful as the celebration of Luigi Mangioni, the multiple attempted assassins of Donald Trump, and especially Tyler Robinson, Charlie Kirk’s assassin. 





After Kirk’s assassination, I wrote several stories about people celebrating Kirk’s murder, and the people doing so were hardly fringe. They were doctors, lawyers, professors, students, caregivers, and teachers. 

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s death, and parties are being planned to celebrate around the country, and people — usually women, of course — are posting TikToks explaining how happy they are that Kirk was assassinated, and even how they hope other conservatives will follow.

These people live among us. These people vote and these people aren’t quiet about it, they’re on video celebrating and throwing parties

We cannot coexist with people who want us dead and celebrate political assassinations





Professors are pretty openly calling for repeats of the Kirk assassination, and a target has been put on the back of Nick Shirley.

Given that real assassinations and attempts have been directed at others hated by the left, and that they have been celebrated by ordinary folks as well as the crazies, Nick should watch his back.

We have a communist violence problem.

Right on the heels of the UCSB communist professor encouraging students to train with weapons for violent revolution. Our universities have been completely infected with violent communists who are pumping this insanity into the soft heads of your children.

These violent animals are not redeemable. Their minds are gone. Clearly “UC” now stands for “Unhinged Communists”.

Very few administrations at our colleges and universities are discouraging students from the celebrations, and no wonder. Their employees are joining in the celebrations. 

Just as the Lindsay Clancy jurors who rallied around this child murderer were nurses and teachers, it is the same groups who seem most excited to celebrate along with the students and professors. I’m not sure what is going on with the so-called “caring” professions, but it’s clear that the empathy they claim to have is quite selective.





Meet Heather Odum Brunton. This home caregiver decided it was a good idea to post a vile video mocking one year since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. She dances around making shot-to-the-neck gestures for what she calls her playlist for a “kirkaversary party.” In another clip she lip-syncs about the drinks she’s going to have to celebrate his death.

What’s even more shocking is that she’s a widow who lost her own husband to a drug overdose and regularly posts about grieving him. Yet here she is dancing and mocking  the murder of someone else’s husband and father, a man killed in an act of political violence.

For someone who went through a horrible personal loss and whose job is supposed to be providing emotional and physical support to vulnerable people, this is a special kind of ugly. The lack of basic human decency is staggering. You don’t get to wrap yourself in grief when it suits you and then treat another family’s tragedy like a party theme. It’s vile and grotesque.

Apparently, Heather is listed on CareLinx, a nationwide online platform that connects families with professional in-home caregivers and nurses. 

Democrats like to talk quite a lot about having a big tent, but most people still don’t seem to get who is being invited in. It’s people whose views on politics and social justice are as subtle and peaceful as Mao’s and Pol Pot’s. The Democrat power brokers understand this well, but there is a large contingent of Democrat voters who will dutifully go out to vote for candidates who celebrate terrorists. They send their kids to colleges with professors who teach revolutionary violence, and still vote to increase funding for schools that teach that 9/11 was America’s fault. 





Assassination culture has become mainstream enough that professional people, not just ignorant students who believe that transgression is cool, film themselves explaining why killing conservatives is a great thing. 

The left is making “Kirkiversary” a thing, and they think that makes them the “good” guys. They truly believe that, just as Mao’s cadres thought they were paving the way for the new world. 

Conservatives don’t control the Overton Window. The Establishment does, and it has embraced these people and invited them into their ‘big tent.” Many of them obviously agree, at least to some extent, as they often say things like “I of course condemn violence, but…” 





NEW: Liberal podcaster Jennifer Welch suggests the Dem establishment needs to get on board with wanting conservatives dead or else far-leftists will come “after you in the same way that we come after MAGA.”

Welch: “Listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this, or we’re coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA. Period.”

There is no but. Either you approve of killing people to make a point, or you don’t. 

James Talarico’s pastor and mentor, discussing the members of his church, admits that most of them wish that Trump had been assassinated in 2024. How are we supposed to respond to that? Talarico preaches to the same congregation, alongside this demonic man, and nearly half of Texans think that he is the good guy.

“We still have people in this church who wish that the young man had not just nicked his ear, but had been more successful.”

“If you polled our members, and asked them if they were Christian, agnostic, or atheist, the vast majority would say agnostic or atheist because they don’t buy the religion that we got from the Puritans.”

The “Age of Rage” is real, and it is scary.
