There Are Liars, and Then There Are Designated Liars

Remember when the Washington Post kept a running tab on how many “lies” President Trump supposedly told?

It was something of a running joke for me, since 99% of the “lies” were typical Trump hyperbole and totally inconsequential. The sort of thing he says as a verbal tic, like “I had the biggest crowds,” or “my poll numbers are the best ever.” Hardly the stuff of a national crisis, and something Americans got used to filtering out as a matter of course. 

I mean, really? 30,573 lies? This from a newspaper that shared a Pulitzer Prize for pushing the Steele Dossier, which was an actual hoax intended to bring down an elected president?

Yet, somehow, the Post and the entire Pravda Media ecosystem still treat Adam Schiff and the people Scott Adams calls the Democrats’ “designated liars” as if they are somehow credible sources. There are a few Democrats who are pushed out to face the cameras when other Democrats would rather not blow their limited credibility, and Adam Schiff is chief among them. 

They’re *still* doing this.

Democrats have tried to push this meme that Donald Trump is focused on nothing but the ballroom by slicing that clip to create a false impression. It is the same thing they did with the “fine people” hoax, which to this day some people are riding on. Biden claimed that he chose to run for president because Trump called Nazis “fine people.”

Obama recently resurrected the “fine people” hoax at a Kamala rally to attack Trump.

Rogan and Musk just obliterated Obama for this. Snopes had already debunked the “fine people” hoax.

Jake Tapper and the Fine People Hoax.

For years Jake spread this divisive lie, always conveniently cutting off the video before Trump says that he is not talking about neo-nazis or white supremacists.

A number of Democrats are pushing this lie, and in a sane world, it would disqualify them from being taken seriously. And, to be fair, many of the people pushing it are not taken seriously. 

Tim Walz parrots debunked lie: “The White House Press Secretary said the top priority is the ballroom.”

What Leavitt actually said is that the ballroom is Trump’s main priority in relation to other potential renovation projects, not other policy matters.

But that seems to depend primarily on whether the media like them or not. Jasmine Crockett might get fact-checked when she spews something like this, but Adam Schiff is still treated with deference despite having built his career on a tower of lies.

California and New York seem to be particularly fertile ground for sociopaths to rise to power and get tongue baths from the media. Perhaps because there is so much money floating around these states, or the Hollywood New York media connections, or there is a genuine sympathy that media folks have with degeneracy.

Whatever the reason, media folks seem to fall in love with and support these sociopaths in particular. I would love to see Adam Schiff confronted with his decade of lies by a media person, but instead, all I see are clips of Pravda propagandists treating him like a sage truth-teller. 

For the benefit of people who are not news junkies, it would be helpful for them to have a list of the designated liars on the Democrat side.

These are the people they send out when their narrative is demonstrably false. The Democrat normies hide until the topic changes.

Who should I add?

Normally, you would think that people whose job it is to suss out facts and share them with their readers and viewers would be furious at being fed a steady diet of lies, but that assumes that they see their job as sussing out facts and telling the truth to their viewers and readers. 

Everything looks different when you learn who the Designated Liars are.

No, they actively seek out the designated liars to provide the quotes they need to push the Narrative™. It took a person with an IQ of about 80 to recognize that the Steele Dossier was BS, but all these people pretended that it was real. 

It didn’t even take an IQ of 80 to realize that the fine people hoax was a lie. Jake Tapper and all these folks had the tape and had to cut and paste to turn it into something fake to make it stick.

It’s the same thing that 60 Minutes did with Kamala to make her look coherent, and what the BBC did to make it appear that Trump led a mob to the Capitol to destroy it. 

The designated liars blaze the trail for other Democrats, who wait to see whether people like Schiff or Swalwell can get away with their most outrageous lies. Conversely, you will notice that the designated liars are among the most sought-after talking heads for the media, which gives other Democrats the courage to come out and repeat the lies. 

Trump’s boasting about crowd size is a national scandal, but Adam Schiff creating a career out of nothing but truly consequential lies is another day in paradise.
