Too Fun to Check: WI Dems’ Desperation Candidate Is … ‘Dirt McGirk’

First, Democrats spent months making excuses for “P-Hustle,” AKA Graham Platner, and his Reddit s***posts blaming women for their own rapes and soldiers for their own wounds. The Left and leading progressive Democrats defended Der Oysterführer over his Nazi Totenkopf tattoo, his fake working-class narrative, and even after allegations of domestic abuse emerged, only to finally fold when Platner’s allies belatedly decided to believe a Democrat woman who added rape allegations into the mix. (And we still don’t have any of Platner’s activities on Kik.)

Meanwhile in Wisconsin, Democrats have tried to head off another DSA disaster in Francesca Hong, who may have enough of a lead in polling to be the front-runner at this point. Donald Trump narrowly won the state two years ago, and running a nominee backed by the communist DSA in a purple state would likely spell disaster. The party attempted to narrow the field to force Hong into a binary challenge. Their first choice was current Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, but she was forced to drop out of the race on Friday over a campaign finance controversy. 

Instead, outgoing governor Tony Evers convinced David Crowley to reboot his suspended campaign to blunt Hong’s momentum. It turns out, however, that Crowley has a track record of s***posting about women too, through his online alter ego, “Dirt McGirk.”

You can’t make this stuff up:

A new report looks at an X account, which made some crude comments, linked to Democratic candidate for governor David Crowley.

The account name on X, formerly Twitter, is “Dirt McGirk.” NBC News was first to report about the page, and FOX6 News confirmed the page is real.

At one point, a post tweeted out, “it’s DC aka David bka Dirty or black a*** dude.” It posted in 2010: “#confession I’ve never boink a white woman!! Is that bad???”

Another post read: “I need all the sexy ladies to DM me ;)” – and another stated, “That’s just NASTY!!! I wouldn’t [expletive] her with YOUR [expletive] !!! #slapyourself.”

In one comment in 2010, a post said: “I don’t even call the Police Pigs…..i call them Cow…..its a beef thing.”

Has anyone in Michigan checked Haley Stevens’ social-media posts? Did she have an alter-ego identity too?

Platner at least owned up to his Reddit posts, although he attempted to excuse them as his attempts at humor and the result of service-related PTSD. (How that factors into using social media is anyone’s guess.) Crowley denies writing these posts, however, claiming that “Dirt McGirk” was an autonomous collective, perhaps part of an anarcho-syndicalist commune, wherein members took turns to act as sort of an executive officer of the week … Oh wait, no, that was Dennis the Peasant from Monty Python’s Holy Grail. 

That’s more believable than the claim about the collective, although one of Crowley’s friends gave it the middle-school try:

“These tweets happened so long ago, it’s hard to remember everything in detail but it was a joint account that many of us, some who have since passed away were posting from to get attention for club promotions back in the day. But I know, and anyone who has ever known David knows, he would never say any of the immature posts on there. Did we have some friends back in the day to say foolishness? Absolutely. The group was extremely young and unfortunately, not everyone was mature at that time.”

Well, let’s just take this at face value. Which of these friends identified themselves as “DC aka David bka Dirty or black a** dude”? Which one of those friends would match that description better than David Crowley, who then went on to declare, “I’ve never boink a white woman”? Can they provide a name? Other than “David Crowley,” who clearly fits?

I’d have no problem believing the argument by “Ray Nitti” that Crowley was young and dumb and full of, er, foolishness when he posted that, if Crowley would admit to it. Instead, Crowley and his buddies want to gaslight voters, which says a lot more about his character now than his old s***posts from a decade ago do. 

Perhaps this will be a tempest in a teapot. The party doesn’t have much choice, and it still has an opportunity to force Hong into a binary race. The DSA choice leads in the latest Marquette poll, taken without Crowley in the mix, but only with 26% of likely primary voters supporting her. Forty-five percent remain undecided, while former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes only got 15%. Barnes clearly hasn’t picked up any momentum in this primary, and Crowley might be their only opportunity to get a more establishment Democrat in the general election by the August 11 primary. If not and Hong wins that contest, the gaslighting will have only just begun from Democrats.
