President Donald Trump called into CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, where he addressed a wide range of topics, including his 2024 election victory, economic policies, Democratic leadership, and congressional redistricting.

During the live segment, Trump fact-checked the host in real time over his record vote count in Texas—and was quickly proven correct.

During the conversation, Trump stated, “I got the highest vote in the history of Texas,” referring to the 2024 election results.

CNBC co-host Joe Kernen responded, “I have to check on that,” prompting a brief exchange.

Moments later, Kernen confirmed the claim, saying, “Okay, so huh, here we go, you did get the highest number of votes in Texas. So, that’s true.”

Trump replied, “I did. Okay, you don’t have to say anything more, Joe. No, don’t say anything more, don’t qualify it by saying…” Kernen conceded, “You did,” before moving on to the next topic.

The call-in interview covered additional issues, including the internal state of the Democratic Party.

Trump claimed that Democrats were facing internal collapse and cited specific lawmakers.

“When you have low-IQ people like [Rep. Jasmine] Crockett (D-TX)… She’s a very low-IQ person,” Trump said. “She’s one of the leaders of the party! You’ve gotta be kidding!”

He added, “The Democrats are lost. They have Trump Derangement Syndrome so bad that they can’t walk! They can’t talk. They don’t know where they’re going!”

When asked by co-host Rebecca Quick if he intended to run again in 2028, Trump responded, “No. Probably not. Probably not,” followed by a brief laugh.

The conversation also turned to the Democratic lawmakers who left Texas in an attempt to deny a quorum during a redistricting battle in the state legislature.

Trump criticized the move and tied it to broader concerns over gerrymandering and Democrat-controlled states.

“You notice [the Texas Dems] go to Illinois for safety, but that’s all gerrymandered!” Trump said.

“California’s gerrymandered. We should have many more seats in Congress in California.”

Trump also took aim at Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, whom he criticized for the state’s economic conditions and business climate.

“The dumbest of all governors,” Trump said.

“The business is flowing out of his state. It’s terrible… He was the black sheep of the family; they threw him out of the business!”

During the interview, Trump also discussed revenue from tariffs and the current state of the economy under his administration.

The exchange added to the continued focus on the president’s post-election momentum and his ongoing commentary on national issues from the White House.
