Trump Just Nuked the Globalist ‘New World Order,’ And They’re Panicking: Glenn Beck [WATCH]

Glenn Beck argued that President Donald Trump’s reported effort to secure an ownership stake in Venezuelan oil fields is part of a much broader strategy to reduce American dependence on vulnerable foreign energy routes and build a more self-sufficient Western Hemisphere.

Beck said Americans looking at high gasoline prices and some of Trump’s recent moves may not immediately recognize how the individual pieces fit together.

“So we’re seeing things, and we’re struggling, and you’re struggling at the gas pump, and you’re seeing him do things like name Lake of America from Lake Ontario. You’re like, What? What is happening? What is happening? Let me tell you what’s happening,” Beck said.

He characterized Trump’s approach as a rejection of the international order established after World War II and subsequent efforts toward greater global economic integration.

Gold. Upgraded. Buy real gold from $1. Store it in America. Sell it with one click.

“Trump is the first guy to come in and go, We’re not going to do that. We’re not going to do that. We’re going to have a new golden era. We’re going to have a great age for America into the 21st century,” Beck said.

“And so he’s not just reshaping America. He is reshaping the world.”

Beck pointed to an Axios report that the United States was negotiating for an ownership stake in Venezuelan oil fields. He said the potential agreement could dramatically expand American proven reserves.

“Wednesday night, Axios reported that the United States is now negotiating an ownership stake, not a lease, an ownership stake in the Venezuela oil fields,” Beck said.

“More than a dozen producing fields with something like 90 billion barrels of proven reserves underneath the soil. America currently holds about 48 billion. If that deal is signed, American oil reserves more than double in an afternoon.”

He tied that possibility to current disruptions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, which historically carries a significant portion of the world’s oil supply.

“Before the war, about 20 million barrels a day were moving through the Strait of Hormuz. About a fifth of all of the oil in the world was moving through there,” Beck said.

Beck said uncertainty surrounding the waterway illustrates the danger of allowing global energy supplies to remain dependent on a small number of geographic choke points.

“One waterway, one regime, one man over in the Gulf deciding how much oil the world gets this week. Not workable,” Beck said.

Venezuela, Beck noted, does not depend on the Strait of Hormuz to reach American markets.

“Venezuela is not on that waterway. Venezuela is a five-day tanker run to Texas,” he said.

Beck compared the strategy to Winston Churchill’s decision before World War I to secure Britain’s access to oil.

He recalled how the British government acquired a controlling interest in a company operating in Persia as the Royal Navy transitioned from coal to oil.

“If this deal in Venezuela closes, something much larger than a gas price is happening here, and I don’t think most people have caught it yet,” Beck said.

“I want you to start looking at maps instead of the news. When you hear the news, look at a map.”

From there, Beck laid out the energy resources available throughout the Western Hemisphere.

He pointed to the United States’ existing oil and gas production, Canada’s reserves, Guyana’s growing oil industry, Brazil’s production and Argentina’s shale resources.

“You add Venezuela’s 300 billion barrels, the largest proven reserve anywhere on the planet, and now the Western Hemisphere stops being a customer of the world’s energy market and becomes the center of gravity,” Beck said.

His argument extended beyond petroleum.

Beck pointed to uranium and potash in Canada, lithium in Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, and iron and rare-earth resources in Brazil.

“The hemisphere can feed itself,” Beck said.

He also cited the region’s freshwater supplies, agricultural production, shipping routes and manufacturing capacity as additional pieces of the strategy he believes Trump is pursuing.

Beck specifically pointed to Mexico’s manufacturing sector and said the outlook for American manufacturing has also improved.

“Jobs and manufacturing coming back to America,” Beck said.

Taken together, Beck argued, those resources could create a Western Hemisphere capable of meeting many of its critical economic needs without depending on distant countries or vulnerable overseas supply routes.

“So we have energy, food, water, minerals, sea lanes, factories, and not one of those things requires anyone’s permission to cross an ocean.”
