Trump Storms to Yet Another Golf Tournament Victory at His Own Club

President Donald Trump added another golf victory to his record this week, winning the annual Caddies’ Day tournament at Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor, New York, as reported by Page Six.

The victory came only days after Trump won both the senior and super senior divisions of the club championship at his Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.

The Westchester tournament pairs club members with caddies for an 18-hole competition. In Trump’s case, the president teamed up with caddies from his Westchester club and finished with the lowest score.

The exact score posted by Trump’s team on the 7,300-yard, par-72 Jim Fazio-designed course was not immediately clear.

Trump also attended an event honoring the club’s caddies after the tournament. According to a source familiar with the event, the president gave the caddying staff a $25,000 bonus to divide among them.

A caddy shack insider said, “There’s a lot of anti-Trump stuff out there [in the country], but the staff loves him.”

The latest victory adds to Trump’s long-running involvement with golf and his claims about his record at his own courses.

Trump previously won both the senior and super senior age categories at the Bedminster club championship on Aug. 2.

Following that event, Trump celebrated the result on social media while pointing out that his responsibilities as president leave him with limited time to practice.

“I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!”

Trump now claims to have won 40 club championships at his golf properties.

His latest reported victory took place at Trump National Westchester, one of the president’s golf properties in New York. The course is located in Briarcliff Manor and was designed by Jim Fazio.

Trump’s participation in the caddies’ day event also put the president in a setting where he could interact directly with the staff working at his club.
