President Donald Trump unveiled a new nickname for Democrats during a Thursday night interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity while discussing politics, Congress, and his recent summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as reported by the New York Post.

Speaking during the interview, President Trump said he had come up with a new label for Democrats while talking about House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

“I came up with a new name. I don’t know if I should,” President Trump told Hannity.

“Dumocrats — because they’re dumb,” the president said, explaining that his version removes the “b” from the word.

President Trump said the nickname came to him while discussing Jeffries, whom he described as a “very-low IQ individual.”

“So he’s a dumb guy, he’s a Democrat, and I said, ‘Oh, what a great name for this!’” President Trump said.

The comments came during a broader discussion about President Trump’s recent diplomatic meetings in China and the political climate in Washington.

President Trump has repeatedly criticized Jeffries in recent weeks, including after the most recent assassination attempt against him during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington earlier this month.

Following that incident, President Trump posted criticism of Jeffries on Truth Social and accused the New York Democrat of contributing to political hostility.

“This lunatic, Hakeem ‘Low IQ’ Jeffries, should be charged with INCITING VIOLENCE!” President Trump wrote in the post.

The president had previously introduced the “Dumocrats” nickname earlier this week during remarks from the Oval Office while discussing immigration and border security policy.

During that appearance, President Trump joked that Democrats would reverse positions on border wall funding if he suddenly opposed building one himself.

The remark prompted laughter from Mehmet Oz, widely known as Dr. Oz, who was present during the exchange.

President Trump has long been known for assigning nicknames to political opponents during campaigns, debates, and public appearances.

Throughout both his presidential campaigns and time in office, he frequently used labels directed at rivals in both parties as part of his political messaging strategy.

The latest nickname quickly spread across social media following the Hannity interview, drawing reactions from supporters and critics alike.

The interview aired as President Trump returned from a major diplomatic trip involving meetings with Xi Jinping, focused on trade, artificial intelligence, Taiwan policy, and ongoing international security concerns.
