Kamala Harris hit the campaign trail in Las Vegas this week and promptly reminded everyone why her approval numbers remain stuck in political quicksand.

During what was supposed to be a policy discussion, Harris unleashed a rambling tirade about the war in Iran that quickly turned into a vulgar and incoherent performance.

Speaking before a roaring Democrat crowd, the former vice president stumbled through half sentences and incomplete thoughts before erupting into profanity.

“When you look at this war in Iran, which the American people do not want, which was not authorized by… should not have been initiated… he talked about obliterating… it’s all just…”

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

Harris sputtered before the crowd began shouting encouragement. Then she dropped the script altogether and barked, “Bullsh*t!”

After the outburst, Harris laughed and told the audience, “You made me do that! I promised I’m not going to curse in public anymore.” It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated her political style: awkward, forced, and out of touch with basic decorum.

Harris tried to recover, segueing into what she clearly thought would be a profound analysis of world affairs.

“But what is happening though, is, is… we are not only losing our authority, we are literally engaged where we are talking billions of dollars,” she rambled.

“Where we’re talking about gas prices going up, where we’re talking about the American people suffering. And for what? And that, and this is part of how we have to understand how the irresponsibility of this administration is profound.”

It was the classic Harris formula: confusing word salad wrapped inside theatrical outrage.

The former vice president appeared more interested in venting than making sense, her remarks a jumble of buzzwords that raised more eyebrows than applause.

Harris has been barnstorming across the country in recent weeks, attempting to fire up Democrat turnout ahead of the midterm season.

Her team insists this is about party unity, though most observers note a more obvious motivation.

After all, Harris is still smarting from her landslide defeat to Donald Trump in 2024, and speculation is already swirling that she wants another shot at the White House in 2028.

But if her Las Vegas performance was any indication, Harris has learned little from her first failed run.

Her speeches still lack substance, her tone veers from scolding to shrill, and her attempts to appear relatable often come across as awkward and manufactured.

Even loyal Democrats quietly admit that Harris remains a liability with swing voters.

A new poll by the Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll found her leading Governor Gavin Newsom as Democrats’ preferred 2028 nominee, fifty percent to twenty two percent.

Pennsylvania’s Governor Josh Shapiro trailed far behind at eight percent.

In other words, the Democrat bench remains painfully thin, and Harris is benefitting from a lack of competition rather than true enthusiasm.

To burnish her progressive credentials, Harris recently endorsed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for re-election, calling her “the leader Los Angeles needs right now.”

In the statement, Harris bragged that Bass achieved “the first ever two year decline in homelessness” and “reduced crime to levels this city hasn’t seen since the 1960s.”

That claim drew eye rolls outside her bubble.

Residents of Los Angeles know better, watching crime fill city streets while homelessness descends into chaos.

Harris may be attempting to tie herself to safe Democrat talking points, but California’s deep blue experiment continues to look more like a cautionary tale than a model for the nation.

Her endorsement of Bass and her rant about Iran show Harris trying to repackage her image as a fearless liberal fighter.

Yet it comes across more as desperation to stay relevant in a party that cannot decide who its next standard bearer will be after Biden exited the stage.

Republicans are unlikely to complain about her staying in the spotlight.

Each gaffe laden appearance from Harris offers a reminder of what the country narrowly avoided when voters re-elected Donald Trump.

Voters who watch her clips online are left wondering how such a figure ever made it within one heartbeat of the presidency.

The Harris routine of the forced laugh, the garbled message, and the misplaced moral outrage has become familiar.

Still, with the Democrat base restless and the party searching for a post Biden identity, she seems intent on keeping her name out front no matter the embarrassment level.

Every public stumble reinforces conservative critiques that Harris is better suited for daytime television than high office.

Her Las Vegas meltdown may fire up the left for a headline or two, but for most Americans, it was just another reminder of how unserious the Democrat leadership class has become.

The more she talks, the clearer it gets that Harris remains her own worst enemy on the path to political resurrection.
