Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s U.S. Senate campaign in Texas has drawn early scrutiny following a series of errors discovered on her campaign website, just weeks after she entered the Democratic primary for statewide office.

Approximately two months into her Senate bid, Crockett’s campaign site was found to contain multiple mistakes across newly launched policy pages.

Among them were placeholder text left visible on the mental health policy page and the placement of gun control language on a section intended to address Social Security. Both issues were corrected after they were publicly identified.

Warning: Account balances and purchasing power no longer tell the same story. Know in 2 minutes if your retirement is working for you.

The website issues were first flagged by CNN senior reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere, who identified the error on the mental health section of Crockett’s platform shortly after the policy pages went live last week.

The text on the mental health page read: “Requiring all major insurance providers to include full mental healthcare coverage, including prescription medications and therapiesWrite out your bullet points here. Anything from a sentence to a paragraph works.”

Two months after launching her Senate campaign and under a month until the primary, Jasmine Crockett today added an issues section to her campaign site.

The passage drew immediate attention on social media, where users shared screenshots of the page and commented on the oversight.

Some users joked about the placeholder language, while others criticized the campaign’s attention to detail.

Andrew Feinberg of The Independent commented on the incident, writing, “To be fair, that’s not bad advice.”

Another user, identified as Sonny Fab, wrote, “The staff member who generated this garbage for her website couldn’t even figure out how to use AI to make the task take less than a minute? How embarrassing!”

Another social media user added, “Very on brand.”

Shortly after the mental health page drew attention, users identified another issue elsewhere on the site.

A bullet point highlighting Crockett’s work on gun control appeared on a page dedicated to defending Social Security, a placement that was also later corrected.

Crockett launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate last month, entering a competitive Democratic primary field.

She is running against state Rep. James Talarico (D), with the Texas Senate primary scheduled for March 3.

The broader Texas Senate race is shaping up to be competitive on both sides of the aisle.

On the Republican side, incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) faces challengers including Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) and Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas).

The Democratic primary took a contentious turn last week following accusations leveled against Talarico by political influencer Morgan Thompson.

Thompson alleged that Talarico referred to former Rep. Colin Allred (D-Texas) as a “mediocre black man,” a claim that quickly circulated online.

Allred, who served as the Democratic nominee in the 2024 Texas Senate race, exited the 2026 Senate contest late last year and instead opted to run for a House seat.

Following Thompson’s accusations, Allred publicly addressed the situation and cited the remarks in explaining his endorsement of Crockett.

In a video posted on social media last week, Allred responded directly to the allegations involving Talarico.

“I understand that James Talarico had the temerity and audacity to say to a Black woman that he had signed up to run against a mediocre black man, meaning me,” Allred said.

He continued, “This man should not be our nominee for Senate. I was not going to get involved in this race, but don’t come for me unless I send for you, OK James? And keep my name out of your mouth.”

As the Democratic primary unfolds, Crockett’s campaign continues to face increased attention following the website errors and the escalating intra-party dispute.

The campaign has not publicly commented on how the mistakes occurred or who was responsible for maintaining the policy pages.

With the March 3 primary approaching, both parties are preparing for a competitive election cycle in Texas, as candidates on both sides seek to define their platforms and consolidate support ahead of the general election.
