Jeanine Pirro Says ‘We’re Coming for You’ After the Arrest of Alleged Benghazi Attack Leader [WATCH]

U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro said the United States will not stop pursuing justice for Americans killed by terrorists following the arrest of Zubayr Al-Bakoush, who is accused of being one of the leaders of the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

As Fox News reported, Pirro made the remarks Sunday during an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend, responding to the long-awaited arrest tied to the attack that killed four Americans.

“The American cavalry never came, to our disappointment, in 2012,” Pirro said.

“We’re coming for you now. We’ve got him. We’ve got a lot more coming.”

The arrest was announced by Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of the United States, who said Al-Bakoush has been charged with murder, terror, and arson in connection with the Benghazi attack.

On Sept. 11, 2012, terrorists stormed the U.S. Special Mission compound in Benghazi, armed with AK-47 rifles, grenades, and other weapons.

The attackers set fires, fired on personnel, and breached buildings during the coordinated assault. Four Americans were killed in the attack, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Pirro criticized the response of the Obama administration at the time, saying there were no consequences for those responsible in the years immediately following the attack.

“The president said we did everything we could. They didn’t do everything they could,” Pirro said.

“Americans watched in horror as four Americans are being killed, not by peaceful protests that went awry.”

Pirro argued that the administration knew early on that Benghazi was a coordinated terrorist attack, not a spontaneous protest, despite public messaging suggesting otherwise in the days following the assault.

She questioned why additional security measures were not taken as the attack unfolded, including the use of military assets that she said could have been deployed quickly.

“Benghazi was the most dangerous place on earth for Americans, and they put them there without protection,” Pirro said.

“And they lied to us on the Sunday morning talk shows. They lied to us in Congress.”

Pirro also credited Donald Trump with renewed efforts to pursue accountability for the Benghazi attack.

“It was only through President Trump that we’re now going to get some kind of justice,” she said.

Bondi’s announcement of formal charges against Al-Bakoush marks one of the most significant developments in the Benghazi case in years.

According to the Justice Department, the charges stem directly from Al-Bakoush’s alleged role in planning and leading aspects of the attack, including setting fires at the compound and participating in acts of terror that resulted in American deaths.

The Benghazi attack has remained a focal point of congressional investigations, public debate, and legal review for more than a decade.

The arrest underscores the U.S. government’s position that terrorism cases involving American casualties do not expire and that suspects can still face prosecution years after an attack.
