There’s an old saying that sometimes life imitates fiction, and it couldn’t be truer than in the current Los Angeles mayoral race.
You have a dystopian cityscape – filthy, covered with the refuse of society, both human and their waste – that looks as if it were created for a movie set. It’s dark, squalid. Hopelessness permeates the air, even if there’s nary a warm body in sight. If there is one, that body is surrounded by the all-enveloping putridity, from the rags that cover it to the sidewalk where it defecates, and then lies to sleep, or drapes in half – the fentanyl fold. Vermin scamper nearby or pause to nibble. Bit players in a tragedy.
It’s all ready for a scriptwriter to insert main characters that are too unbelievably awful, too impossibly incompetent, too malignantly self-absorbed to exist in real life, never mind be actual elected officials of a major metropolitan city.
But in Los Angeles, they are REAL and they are already in office.
Nithya Raman is the District Four City Councilwoman running for mayor. Even before she achieved such an esteemed perch in city government, she was involved in ‘solving’ the homelessness issue.
The ‘un-homed’ numbers have only gone up as the money has been spent, and Nithya Raman preaches more compassion and empathy, and more spending.
That’s as long as they don’t pitch a tent in her ‘hood.
Those #rulez are for everyone else.
LA Mayor candidate Nithya Raman has publicly said:
“I don’t think a kid is gonna be safer because a tent is 500 feet away from a school”.
3 days ago a FAKE encampment was set up outside her home, a visibly shaken Raman said:
“I have two little kids. They didn’t see it, luckily… pic.twitter.com/198V0EIb3q— Clyp Keeper (@DGrayTexas45) May 31, 2026

Do these people ever listen to themselves?!?
Karen Bass is the other absolute clown in this tragicomedy. The perpetually grinning, Communist Cabbage-Patch doll that watched the city literally burn to cinders from afar, returned to take no responsibility for either the flames or the botched fix for the homeless in the hills. Styling herself as the fearless defender of the non-American citizens who are leeching the lifeblood from the city, just as surely as she hands out more needles to the addicts in the park, and chides anyone complaining about human poo on their shoes.
But she wants that next term.

All stories need a scrappy hero. Some guy with a loud mouth, whom everyone hates at the beginning, who then turns a life-altering event into a challenge for his own action.
A bad boy with a heart of gold.
This story looks like it has that guy, too.
A loud-mouthed punk who grew up in the hills, in one of the long-time family homes in beloved neighborhoods that Karen Bass and her miserable band of woke incompetents allowed to burn to the ground.
A young guy who had gradually grown out of his badboy phase, mostly out of the public eye after the series that fixed his feisty personality in the public’s mind. Married the pretty girl, had kids, made and blew a fortune.
Charmed the wings off hummingbirds.
I watched him feed hummingbirds with his children every single day until Karen Bass let his house burn to the ground & destroy the homes of thousands of hummingbirds and other animals. Crazy that you think Karen Bass is doing good deeds but Spencer is a grifter?? pic.twitter.com/6FjiFKVwzf

But the fire. The indifference. The lies. The cascade of failures and more lies.
It made the regular guy mad, and, as in so many of these stories, he says ‘Enough,’ dusts himself off, and rides into town.
Which is what Spencer Pratt has done in real life.
He wants to be the new sheriff, not because it was his lifelong ambition, but because life events compelled him to act.
Karen Bass is starting to see where she may be in some danger from the straight-shooting Pratt, who, as he says, wasn’t in Cuba learning how to be a Communist like the mayor was.
Her gargoyle smiles and practiced platitudes as the city continues to crumble around her are no defense against the onslaught of Pratt’s bald-language. His ‘look around you’ statements of fact. The observations that prove his words are true.
LA mayoral poll shows Bass vulnerable in close race with Raman, Pratt
A new poll shows Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in a tight race with challengers Nithya Raman and Spencer Pratt just days before the June primary, a strikingly weak position for the embattled incumbent that underscores deep voter dissatisfaction with the direction of the nation’s second-largest city.
Twenty-six percent of voters — that could include those who have already voted, plan to cast ballots or are undecided — indicated they support Bass, with 25 percent backing progressive City Councilmember Raman and 22 percent behind Pratt, a reality TV personality and registered Republican, according to toplines from a Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll commissioned by the Los Angeles Times.
The numbers are a warning sign for Bass that she has failed to expand her support amid broad frustration over the city’s direction. With nearly two-thirds of voters saying Los Angeles is on the wrong track, the poll suggests Bass is increasingly vulnerable in a race that once looked like hers to control — and indicates she is no longer on a glide path to advancing from the top-two primary.
The Times first reported the results of the poll, which surveyed 1,351 likely Los Angeles voters from May 19-24 and has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
A large majority of voters — 63 percent — said things in their city are on the “wrong track,” while just 24 percent said they’re going in the “right direction.”
ON THE WRONG TRACK
Karen Bass thinks everything is fine in LA because she doesn’t actually campaign in these blighted neighborhoods and listen to the people. Two homeless bodies were found in a CAVE behind a shelter in Northridge. Karen and Nithya have failed humanity. pic.twitter.com/6hYjYWzmCF

Spencer’s camera found the perfect illustration of the Los Angeles created and sustained by Mayor Karen Bass and her policies.
DROP YOUR BALLOT HERE – BUT WATCH YOUR STEP
I don’t even need to make campaign ads anymore. Karen and Nithya just keep making them for me. pic.twitter.com/Ey724YZv51

As if that wasn’t advertisement enough for the evils of Socialism and blue cities, during Karen Bass’s 24/7 ‘reality’ Los Angeles live stream, the unbelievable…okay.
It’s not unbelievable anymore.
It’s LA.
She owns this.
Wow. Somebody just died on Karen’s livestream. LAPD is setting up a white tent to cover the body. This isn’t a reality show, it’s a horror film. Please pray for this city. https://t.co/WRecu0953X pic.twitter.com/7N9J8OCGoC

Someone in the homeless encampment on the sidewalk behind the mayor’s feed died during the city livestream.
Google cooked the channel’s feed.
Looks like YouTube/google blocked the livestream. You really are against the machine. It’s crazy how they won’t allow the truth to be seen by people’s own eyes. pic.twitter.com/YNqPwePoJH

…another tent resident ODed right there in front of the cameras.
Under Karen Bass we have a livestream of SkidRow on YouTube where we all watched the coroner tent go up this morning and while watching that another person OD’d in the same shot. I welcome the change Spencer is bringing because we cannot continue like this. Sorry, Kaye!

Four more years, huh?
Look at that, sidewalk vendors propped right where bodies are found. So much for being able to use that bus stop.
Zero health checks, zero taxes, zero rent, zero minimum wage. These street vendors need to go back to their countries. https://t.co/LnwzgebrdW

At least Google didn’t have to cut the feed for that unaliving and save the mayor from any awkward moments.
Four more years.
This story needs a Hollywood ending.
