House Republican investigators say their scrutiny of ActBlue is far from finished after an explosive committee report raised questions about foreign donations and the Democratic fundraising platform’s statements to Congress. Three House committees are continuing their investigations, as reported by Fox News.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, told Fox News Digital, “Our investigation into ActBlue is far from over. We expect more documents and testimony in the weeks ahead.”
ActBlue is a major fundraising platform used by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and the Democratic leaders of the House and Senate.

Republican lawmakers have long criticized what they describe as lax donor verification standards.
ActBlue has said it actively improved those standards after the Republican investigation began.
The latest findings, first reported by Fox News Digital, appear to show employees approving donations even when questions emerged about their origins.
The company maintains that it did nothing wrong and indicated it does not plan to return donations discussed in the report.

ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones invoked the Fifth Amendment during a House Administration Committee hearing in Washington on June 10, 2026.
The House Judiciary Committee released transcripts showing that all 10 ActBlue employees and board members who appeared for private depositions invoked the Fifth Amendment rather than answer questions.
ActBlue co-founder Matt DeBergalis was among them.
House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, a Wisconsin Republican, said, “ActBlue’s own admissions raise serious questions about its fraud prevention practices, including a so-called passport verification process that did not actually verify or check entries against any government database.
All options are on the table to ensure we get to the bottom of what is going on at ActBlue.”
A spokesperson for House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, confirmed that the panel “will continue aggressive oversight of ActBlue, including additional depositions.”
The Oversight, Administration, and Judiciary committees have all participated in the investigation.
The Republican report cited a letter from Wallace-Jones to Steil stating that donors with addresses outside the United States were required to provide a passport number.
Investigators alleged the system merely checked whether the entered number contained a certain number of characters.
According to the report, that process did not determine whether the information was a valid United States passport number. Republicans characterized the verification step as essentially meaningless.
The report also published communications that appeared to show supervisors approving donations despite potential warning signs.
One memo called a donation a “great accept,” while noting, “Donor sometimes has an IP in Hong Kong, but none of their other signals raise any eyebrows.”
Another communication said a denied contribution “should have been accepted.”
The memo continued, “It is a foreign contribution, but the name/email match, the IP/billing match, a full address with the correct country code, and there were previously accepted and successful contributions.”
That message also said, “The donor uses an Arkansas state code, which isn’t great, but [the] system can be wonky with requiring state codes for foreign donors.”
Another supervisor allegedly argued that a donor should receive the “benefit of the doubt” despite a contribution setting off multiple alarms.
A separate communication appeared to acknowledge that “all signs point to this person being from Canada,” even though the donor used a Missouri billing address.
According to the report, X, then known as Twitter, was used to confirm the person’s identity.
The report also included an employee email saying ActBlue was “the target of bad-faith political attacks at the hands of ill-intentioned operators.”
Fox News Digital noted that the excerpts were included in the Republican report and were not independently verified.
The National Republican Congressional Committee called on House Democrats to stop using ActBlue and return any illegal contributions directed to their campaigns through the platform.
ActBlue rejected the Republican accusations, saying, “There’s nothing to see here. After we released findings of a third-party forensic analysis that completely undermined a central claim that they have made against ActBlue, Republicans are refusing to move on.”
